Jenna's POV
I walked home from a long day at school, and finally got home. I walked straight into the kitchen, to see a note left on the fridge.
‘Hey sweetie, your father and I have got a business conference tonight. We will be home around 1am. Make yourself something to eat. Love mum xx’
I shrugged my shoulders, as I scrunched up the paper and chucked it in the bin.
"Woo. I got the house to myself tonight" I said cheerfully to myself. I walked out of the kitchen, and ducked my head down the hall.
"Eddie? Edddddie?" I sung, "Guess what?" I said. No reply. I crossed my arms, "Hello? Eddie?"
Still no answer. I ran down the hall and walked into my room.
"Eddie?" I asked, "It’s me!? Jenna!?" I said. I saw from the corner of my eye a faded figure. I turned my head, and Eddie was standing the corner of my room.
"Eddie!" I said with a smile. He smiled back, "Hey Jenna. I heard you calling my name before. What did you want?"
"I wanted to tell you I’ve got the house to myself tonight!" I said.
"Oh. Yes, I remember your parents coming home earlier today and saying something about a Business conference they had to drive to" Eddie said
"Well I’m just happy I got the house to myself for the night. Hey, come to the kitchen with me" I asked
"Why?" he asked me, as he tried not to smile.
"Because I’m hungry" I whined. He laughed as we walked to the kitchen together.
"Hey I have a question" I said, I got out the cordial from the cupboard.
"What’s your question?" he asked, folding his arms together.
"Do ghosts ever get hungry? What do they eat?" I asked sounding like a pure blonde! He just laughed at me.
"Why are you laughing at me?" I whined, as I got out the water from the fridge.
"Ghosts don’t eat, silly" he said, still laughing.
"Shut up" I smirked at him. I started to drink my drink, but heard Eddie was still laughing at me. I spat my mouthful off cordial back into my cup.
"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" I whined as I started laughing along with him. He just started laughing harder.
"Okay, okay, okay! I’ll stop" he said, trying to stop laughing.
"Thank you" I said, as I started to drink my drink again. He started laughing again. I spat my mouthful of cordial all over my floor and tried not to laugh but failed.
"EDDIE!" I shouted at him, still laughing, "stop…making…me…laugh" I said, trying to sound serious, but failed because I was still laughing.
"See this is why you shouldn’t bring me to the kitchen with you" he said, as he finally stopped laughing. I was still cautious about drinking my drink, so I decided not to drink it around him.
"I’m just going to make something to eat instead" I said, as I looked back into the cupboard.
"You do that" he smirked at me. I got out the nutella and some bread.
"Uh I just remembered. I have to tell you something" I said, as I began to spread the nutella spread over my bread.
"What?" he asked.
"At school today, the bell went for 3rd session, and I was going to wag it, so I went into the girls toilets. So there I was, at the sinks fixing my hair, and I saw this… little girl there. I’d say she looked about 5 or 6 years old and she was holding a teddy bear. She was wearing a white dress, and had green eyes. But that’s the only thing that was a different colour. She was just white all over, and had a white glowing ring around her, and she was standing at the far end of the girls toilets" I explained to him, as I took a bite of my sandwich. He was intense. I could tell he was thinking about it.
