book 2 || Rogue's Secret

Slipping Away

Rogue woke up earlier than everyone else. She sat upon Picasso's herd rock and watched the sun rise. 

Maybe being bad is good. My father turned bad, so shouldn't I?  Rogue thought to herself. 

Soon everyone woke up, Rogue stayed alone. She saw Taka playing with Charm, then Picasso joined in. They never treated Rogue like that, they always had something to do.  Rogue then felt someone staring at her, it was Jaguar. 

He was glaring at Rogue and whispering to this other soldier. Rogue had some evil thoughts run through her head. Kill him! Kill him!

Rogue ran away, crying. She was thinking about her mother and Charm. She galloped out to StreamHerd's grazing grounds. 

She stopped in the middle of the fields and cried. Rogue then countered upon whispering and rustling bushes.  Rogue glanced around, there was no other horse around, until a sharp hoof snagged her shoulder. 

Rogue automatically hit back, the figure that hurt her was stepping back in pain. It was a StreamHerd soldier, and behind Rogue was Jaguar.  Jaguar pushed her to the ground, Rogue tried to get up and fight but these other soldiers held her down and surrounded her in a circle.

"It's over Rogue!" Jaguars voice echoed. Rogue struggled and coughed up blood. "Jaguar. Stop." Rogue begged. 

"You brought this to yourself..." There was a long pause. "Prince." Jaguar sneered and everyone whinnied. "Ok, yeah I'm Prince. I will destroy all of you!" Rouge threatened. Jaguar became worried. 

"Let me go, now. Or you will all be cursed." Rogue whinnied. No body moved. Someone behind Jaguar laughed. It was Kion. 

"Like you could curse anyone." Kion sneered. Rogue made an evil smirk and slipped from the soldiers grasp. She lunged at Kion who took a step back. Two soldiers then ran towards Rogue she dug her sharp hooves into the soldier's neck and killed him with one blow and she left the other one injured.  

Everyone was aghast and fear filled their eyes. Rogue hadn't noticed it but Picasso and Taka were watching. 

"Don't underestimate my power!" Rogue whinnied loudly. Jaguar was scared, he was hiding behind Taka. Rogue glared at her mother, her mother's eyes were filled with regret and sorrow. 

"Execute her!" Kion whinnied as all of DustHerd soldiers ran towards Rogue. Jaguar called the same and StreamHerd also charged towards Rogue. 

Rogue stood there, in the middle of the war. Her breathing was steady and she was counting in her head as all the soldiers came closer to her. 

One. Two. Three. 

Rogue jumped in the air and started to fight furiously, leaving many soldiers dead or injured. Kion was watching with Taka and Picasso by his side. 

"She'll never survive this one." Kion chuckled. Taka stood thee watching her foal struggle. 

Rogue defeated all the soldiers during the battle, she stood in the middle, facing Kion. Her breathing was hard, and she had just showed Kion up!

Kion melted in anger. "How?" He asked, kicking the dirt. "I'm immortal." Rogue joked. 

Kion swished his tail in anger. "No such thing." Kion shouted. Blood ran from Rogue's mouth and she was bloody everywhere. 

"Prince is strong, I have inherited his genes. I-" Rogue paused staring at the ground. "I am Rogue." Rogue nickered proudly. 

"Rogue." Kion spat. He pretended he wasn't afraid, but he was. His inside were burning up with anger, but he could do nothing.
