Aaron's POV

I had gathered information the last two weeks about the White Cloaks base and their leaders. Apparently there was more than one in the port. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration.

"I am sorry Aaron, but that is what my informer told me," Luke, the hotel manager said.

"Are you sure they are not lying?" I asked, I needed to make sure.

"I am positive, I have seen the people in these sketches around the docks." He informed sliding paper toward me. I sighed.

"This is going to make everything harder than I thought," I said.

"I wish I could help you out more, but I cannot blow my cover."

"I understand. Thank you for the help," I said, turning on my heels and leaving. I had the clothes of a commoner so I would blend into the crowd easily.

I walked around the city. I really wanted to make my mission go by quickly and smoothly but that was not going to happen anytime soon. I now had more than one target, and one target was hard enough. I was not looking where I was going, and bumped into someone.

I jerked up as we both stepped backward at the force, I then recognized him immediately.

His name was Samuel, one of the people I was looking for now I actually got a good look at him. He was broad shouldered and was not as pale as other people. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes, along with a long square face. Our eyes met, but he did not know who or what I was.

"Kid, watch where you are going," he said angrily. I could tell he was trying to hide his French accent. Normally it would fool any other person, but I knew full well who and what he was.

"Sorry sir," I mumbled before walking passed him. With a swift motion he grabbed my arm and pulled me to an alley.

"What are you playing at boy? You do not simply walk away from me when you do something like that," he threatened.

"I do not understand why sir," I replied. "I do not know you, and you do not know me, so we might not see each other again."

"Damn right we will not, because I will make sure that you will not be seen again." What was with this guy?

I grabbed his arm when he pulled out a dagger and tried to stab my face. I then dropped down to the ground and crawled between his legs to escape. I did not fight back, I needed to keep a low profile.

"Samuel, what are you doing?" I heard someone ask. We both turned and looked where the voice came from. There were two men, one shorter than the other.

"This clumsy boy ran into me," Samuel answered.

The man who spoke shook his head. "This boy did nothing wrong Sam, you know that."

"I needed to get my anger out."

"And cause a scene while you are at it? That is not gentleman like at all," he then walked over to me and knelt down. He then held a hand out to me, which I hesitated to take. "Do not worry lad," he stated, and then I took it. He helped me back to my feet, and I brushed myself off. "I apologize for my partner's rudeness. He can have some anger management issues." I heard Samuel huff. "Name's Peter, what is yours?"

"Alex," I replied. I had prepared for anything that would come my way if anyone asked.

"Well Alex, why not drop by for a little bit."

"Drop by where sir?"

"In the hotel that is located at the edge of town, I want to apologize with a meal of sorts."
