"Everything will be alright dearie you'll see". My grandmother reassured me on the car ride down to my dads house. I just shook my head and stared out the window of the old SUV. It had been over six years since I had last seen my father and if I was being honest I didn't want to see him for another six more.
He had left my mother and me after he learned that she was pregnant with my little sister. He got so angry that he just left us and it broke our mom. After only a few months without him she took her own life and left me and my sister Heather parent less. Luckily my grandmother stepped in to raise us; mostly just my little sister, but now she was shipping me off to my dads for the start of my senior year and I wasn't happy about it one bit.
"We're here!". She exclaimed as we pulled into his driveway. I opened the door of the car and stared up at the old rundown two story house in front of me. This was my new home for my entire senior year of high school and I already wanted to get back in the car and leave.
"Come help me with the bags Gabby". My grandmother asked me. I nodded my head of thick black hair and went over to the back of her car and grabbed out both my bags.
"Hey kiddo!" I turned my attention to the older looking man who greeted me in the front porch. He did look like my dad did with the black hair and scruffy beard, but he didn't at the same time. I glanced back at the car as my grandmother got back into it. Then I looked back at the house and let out a large sigh as the man I once called my father stepped off the porch and helped me with my bags.
"You let your hair grow out". He hinted at as we entered the house. I nodded my head and and dropped my flats in his shoe closet.
"Yeah. I thought it looked better this way". I managed to get out as I dashed into the living room.
"Just like your mother". He replied in a hashed tone. I nodded my head. "Well your bedroom is the second one on the right. Dinner will be around six and one of my friends from work is coming by later with his daughter. She's enrolled in the high school too so I'm sure you'll see her around school". I nodded my head and leapt up the stairs to my new room. I shut the door behind me and let out a sigh of relief. One thing I did like about my dad was that he wasn't noisy. He figured that you wanted to be alone so he left you alone unless something was wrong. Which in my case was never. Nothing really interesting every happened to me and I was hopeful that would change one of these days. However Forks, Washington was a small town and nothing big every happened in small towns....or so I thought.

That evening my dad, George, had one of his work friends from the police station over and I made it my job to stay away from them as much as possible. And from what I over heard so did his friends daughter, Bella Swan. Her dad Charlie said that she was with her boyfriend that evening at his house and she didn't feel like coming over. Didn't really surprise me all that much. My dad wasn't one to get visits that often and when he did it was very rare.
After dinner I straight to bed. I didn't want to interact with my dad anymore then I had already done so I turned off my light and let the darkness over take me.Yes I'm writing another twilight story, but I had a really good idea in my head and I just couldn't let it go! So here it is! And yes it's an Edward Cullen love story, and yes Bella is still here, but something will happen to fix that I promise!
