I went with Izy and Charlie to Romania. It was beautiful and had such pretty landscapes. The air seemed fresh and crisp without the clutter or population and pollution. I didn't think it could get anymore beautiful until I arrived at the Dragon sanctuary.
It was breathtaking. The dragon's scales gleaned in the sunlight. The little cottages nestled together like a village.
"Amazing right?" Izy smirks at me gaping.
"Welcome ladies to the wonderful place I call my second home." Charlie Weasley smiles proudly and leads us through.
Few people waving and saying hello as we pass. We eventually stop at a cottage and Charlie unlocks the door. It's bigger on the inside that it looks.
"Your room's the second on the left." Izy says as I wander around.
I find my room and open the door. The walls are painted a light blue and there's a window by the bed giving me a perfect view of the dragons.
Charlie pulled some strings and gave me an internship at their infermieri for the summer so I have something to do while they work. I do the small things, no one bothers to do. I am at the bottom of the medical food chain. Doing coffee runs and taking out the trash. Today, Lorian, the head healer, has me restocking medical kits on site.
I was lost in thought I didn't realize I ran into someone until I was the ground, feeling like I hit a stone wall. I look up to see a tall man, who looks around Charlie's age. With brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes.
"I am so sorry," I apologize picking up the supplies I dropped.
"Inicio păpușă de grijă" He smirks helping me up.
Taken back by the foreign tongue, I ask "Um English please?"
He chuckles, "It's Romanian. I said no worries doll."
"Oh," I blush like a madman.
"Ah Barnes, I see you've met are newest resident," Charlie comes smiling over patting, Barnes, on the back.
"That I did Weasley. This your girlfriend's cousin?" He asks.
"That she is," Charlie beams, "Juliet Black meet James Barnes."
"Pleasure to meet you James." I smile.
"You to Juliet." James nods.
I excuse myself as I return to my job of restocking 1st aid kits.
James (OOOO NEW POV)
After meeting Izy's cousin Charlie and I returned to our job of feeding the dragons. Juliet was beautiful, and seemed just as sweet too. I shake my head thinking back to when Charlie thought she was going to marry his brother, one of the twins I think. I wonder what happened. I know they aren't together anymore but from what I heard they were great, the perfect couple. People change I guess.
"Hey Weasley. The cousin, Juliet, she's single right?" I ask throwing a chicken to Landon, one of the baby dragons at the sanctuary.
"Yea. Last I heard. Why?" He smirks, "Planning to ask her out?"
After our shift was over Izy nad I headed back to the cottage. Charlie's shift ending an hour later. The two of us got into the cottage and I set the table while she makes dinner.
"Hey Iz, what do you know about James Barnes?" I ask.
"The James Barnes here?"
"Yea, I met him today. Just curious."
"Uh well let's see. He's Romanian, I think he went to Drumstrong. He's Charlie's age. He's had a rough life, at least from what Charlie told me. His father was a drunk, and wasn't around much. He eventually passed around the time James was in school, I think. He had a sister named Rebecca, who was younger. But sadly, they both got sick and died as well, a year after he graduated. He had a girlfriend, a serosun one by the sounds of it. He was planning to marry her and everything, but she was murdered by deatheaters." Izy says.
"That's horrible." I reply, "Does he have any friends?"
"Yes. There's one guy he mentions a lot. They're like brothers. I believe his name is Steve. He's muggleborn and works at a mechanic shop. I hear he's dating a billionaire now, Tony Stark. He's big in the muggle world" Izy shrugs
Charlie comes and we eat dinner. Small chatter talking about are day. After I help clean up I head to my room. I am reading when I hear little thuds on my window.
I set my book down and look to see what's making that noise. I look out to see James standing outside holding a pile of rocks, smiling like and idiot.
"What the hell James?" I whisper shout.
"I wanted to ask you something."
I smirk, "I'm waiting."
He laughs, "Would you like to come to my place. For some dinner?"
I smile and say "Sure" If Fred can get back into the game then so can I.
