Chapter 28: The Battle (part 1)

It was a normal day or so I thought. Remus sent me a letter saying Tonks had the baby. A healthy boy named teddy. I was ecstatic but sad I couldn't go visit as it would be too dangerous. I didn't even know where the were. I got bored sitting at Grimmauld Place all by myself so I decided to visit Bailey and Sawyer. Out of all my friends they were the only ones who didn't go back, at least the only ones that there parnet's didn;t make them. It was chilly so I put on my coat. It was worn and old. I needed a new one.

When I arrived Bailey was at the table reading the paper and eating eggs. Sawyer looked like she just came back from a run, panting and guzzling water.

"Morning," I smile making them jump as I pour myself a cup of coffee

"Jeez, Julie warn us next time," Bailey exclaims.

"Yea," Sawyer adds and then smirks, "We could've been doing it."

I scrunch my nose in disgust and Bailey looks red as a tomato.

I grab myself a plate and sit down at the table. Bailey and I engage in small talk as Sawyer takes a shower. She gets out a few minutes later, changed and her hair wrapped in a towel. As I put my plate away I feel a burning in my coat pocket. Confused I reach into my pocket and pull out something wrong. It's the DA coin from 2 years ago. It doesn't hit me at first until I remember what Harry told me a few months back.

"Always have the DA coin with you. It'll burn when it's time to fight."

I didn't think anything of it until now. I actually forgot where I had put it. Turning to the couple coin still in hand I stand open mouthed.

"What's wrong Julie?" Bailey asks.

"It's happening. The Battle of Hogwarts. It's here." I say.

Bailey and Sawyer ust stare until all at once it sinks in and we're bustling to get ready.

Third person.
At hogwarts.

"It has come to my attention that Harry Potter has been sighted in Hogsmeade. If any student or staff has any information to his whereabouts step forward now. If failed to say anything about him the punishment will be severe." Snape says to the students gathered in the hall.

"It seems despite your exhaustive defensive strategies, you have a security problem headmaster. And it's quite extensive." Harry says stepping forward with the order behind him.

"How dare you stand where he stood. Tell them what happened that night. You looked him into the eye and killed them. " Harry shouts.

Snape then took out his wand preparing to duel and Harry did the same. Snape shot a spell at Harry but at the last minute Mcgonagall pushed him out of the way and blocked Snape's spell. And they began to duel. Mcgonagall knocked out the Carrow siblings that stood next to Snape while dueling. Snape eventually retreated out the window. The student body except for some Slytherins cheered.

Then a scream filled the room. Followed by another scream.

A haunting voice spoke

I know that many of you will want to fight. Some of you might even think to fight is wise. But this is folly. Give me Harry Potter. Do this and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave Hogwarts untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded. You have one hour.
