A Letter from Your Introvert
I must start with an apology
You see
I don't mean to be clingy and cold in a conjoined moment of sympathy and distancing.I'm sorry,
I love to tell you I listen and I love to tell you I care,
but bear with me
For I do not have all the answers. It is hard for me to love you when I'm afraid to care.
Hard for me to hold you when I hate to be touched, dear.I promise my heart is full of compassion that you can devour because there will always be more for you when you are hungry again, my friend.
Don't worry. I love the time I have with you even if I don't look it. It's not you, it's the crowd. So loud and invasive.
Thank you for caring for my hard brick shell and wiggling into my heart. Thank you for cradling it and not ripping it apart. Thank you for all you do and all the love you share,
Thank you for caring for this introvert, and introverts everywhere.
