I would give you a flashback on why Cassandra is holding my neck, but I'm too busy trying to plan an escape, so too bad. Fuck explanations. Fine. I'll give you the basics. Basically, I went to go save my sisters and then Cassandra grabbed my neck. Okay, Emira did it first, but she handed me to Cassandra who's not taking it well. Anyway, Cassandra is holding my neck and my older sister Kendall's, while Daisy in running away at who-knows-where. We all caught up? Good, because I'm not repeating.
"K-Kendall," I wheeze.
Kendall doesn't answer, she just hangs in Cassandra's grasp.
"N-No. Kendall. S-Speak,"
"She's unconscious. You'll be too," Cassandra says bluntly.
I don't think she's very interested in being menacing right now. Standing while holding two people's necks for half an hour probably makes you bored.
"I'm gonna go help Emira," she says aloud to herself. She finds a chandelier and enchants it so it wraps around Kendall and I's necks. However, instead of holding us separately it holds us back to back.
"Have fun!" Cassandra exclaims before laughing maniacally and leaving.
"Bye," I mutter.
"H-Hol..." Kendall wheezes, unable to finish speaking the word, but I can see her shift.
The chandelier has a less tight grip than Cassandra and it seems like Kendall is becoming conscious again.
"Kendall, we're stuck on the chandelier in the hall by the stairs. Any ideas?"
"Wha—? What happened? Wait—where's Daisy?" Kendall asks frantically, fidgeting against the chandelier's grasp.
"Daisy's safe. Please, for once worry about yourself. And me. Worry about me too," I tell her.
"But Daisy's so young and naive—"
"Kendall. Daisy's safe. Not now. Let's worry about ourselves," I say sternly.
"She'll get hurt..."
"WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF FOR A CHANGE!" I yell at her.
"Okay, okay, you don't need to yell. So, we're hanging from a chandelier. Wait—WHAT DID YOU DO!"
"Nothing. The Savvys just hate us. It's called life, Kendall,"
"Is now the time for wisecracks?"
"No."
"Then start thinking of a way to save our fucking lives!"
"I'm thinking, god."
"This is anticlimactic."
"What?"
"It means that it's doing nothing helpful."
"Oh, then yeah. Anyway, maybe you should shake a little more. It kinda helped earlier," I suggest.
"And then fall onto the floor and break my leg!? No thanks."
"Death or broken leg, pick one. Besides, Ally's family can fix it."
"Fine. Why can't you just do it again?"
"Because I told you to do it," I say through clenched teeth.
"Alright," Kendall says before the chandelier begins to shake.
I can feel her slide down my back as she shifts herself, over and over, slowly going down. It doesn't take too long before I hear a thump.
"Ow."
"You okay?"
"Yeah, except I think I twisted my ankle."
