In the big picture, they don't matter.

Plus, love y'all so much, you are all so nice to me.

Irl i'm a bitch. And nowhere near southern (Idk why I keep saying ya'll).

THIS CHAPTER IS SHORT, SORRY FAM.

There was something strange about beating a person everyday, Snow thought. She had watched Dominic cut and beat the man until not much of him was left. Cohen had gone pale, another member had puked when he had to come in and clean it all.

Snow had detached herself to some place she hadn't been in a long time.

It had taken a while to get back into her usual angry self, but she did it. Tanner sat by her in another room that looked like it was for relaxation or down time.

"So, you took that better than I thought you would"

Snow took a sip of her water and sucked in her top lip. "Yeah...Yeah."

He gave her a long look before shrugging, leaning back on his chair and glaring at a few members who came in. Cohen grimaced as Tanner ate his spaghetti, most likely envisioning the gutting of the mystery man.

"So, what are you doing now?"

Snow inwardly sighed, relieved at the change of topic. She checked her smile and gave a little grin. "I've got a dinner date with Mavon. Ciao" She stood and waved good bye, nodding when Tanner said he'd call her later.

The prospect of hurting someone that badly- that horribly....Snow didn't know what to think about it. Sure, there was a part of her that liked pain in a sadistic sense, or any dark thing- but Snow didn't know how to think or feel about being entrusted to harm people.

"Fuck it" Snow murmured, walking outside of the warehouse and waiting on the sidewalk. Mavon was due to pick her up anytime now.

"You were just going to leave without even coming to see me?" A voice spoke from the dark, followed by footsteps and the annoyed face of Brutus.

"You're at work, and I have plans. What was the point?"

And this just annoyed him even more. Some petty part of him had made this a test, to see if she would come to him. But in true Snow fashion, she didn't adhere to any sort of expectation.

"The point would be to show your boyfriend how much you missed him"

Snow raised a brow, placing a hand on her hip. "The only person I miss is my father. And you're a ten minute drive away, why would I miss you?"

"Fucking hell, I have to spell it out don't I?" Brutus growled, stalking to her and picking her up smoothly, wrapping her legs around his waist.

"I wanted to see you. At least spare my pride" He nuzzled his head into her neck and smiled when her hands came to the nape of his neck. Brutus liked, more than he would admit, how touchy she was. Especially when they were in front of other people.

She didn't give a single fuck what other people thought of their relationship.

"Sorry lover boy, but I've got a dinner date with your brother- and it looks like he's here" Snow murmured, untangling herself from Brutus's body. He frowned, keeping his hands on her waist.

"We never go to dinner"

Snow grinned, brightening up his mood instantly, and she slapped his arm. "Mavon said he's ordering KFC to my house. He buys all the food."

"He's going to your house?"

"Baric is getting lonely. Why don't you come over tomorrow?" There was enough heat in her voice to have him immediately agreeing.

"I'll be over at seven or eight. I'll bring food."

She smiled, then went on her tip toes and melded her mouth to his, drawing out their kiss and his tongue. She gently bit down on his bottom lip, then licked it slowly, leaning back down and nearly dizzy at the clean taste of him.

"See you." Then she jumped in Mavon's Ferrari, and they zoomed off into the night, leaving Brutus staring after her like a horny, big dog.

He watched them until he couldn't see them anymore, then went back inside, already pulling out another bottle of Whiskey.

___________

Mavon hadn't kicked back with Snow in ages. He rarely saw her at school, rarely saw her when he was working with Brutus, and she was usually filling her nights with his possessive brother.

By God, Mavon was gay, he wouldn't try and steal Snow away from him. His brother was like a man out of a book- the masculine, territorial types who went for beautiful, strong women. He looked over at her, watching her tear into her chicken with as much ferocity as Baric did.

"You eat like a pig"

Snow grinned with her mouth full of chicken, throwing a chip at him.

"And you waste food. Why are we even friends?"

Snow laughed, swallowing her mouthful and picking up another wing. "Maybe because of my super compassionate personality and how I live my life benevolently and loving everyone who comes onto my path."

Mavon rolled his eyes, swiping the bucket back onto his lap and switching on the TV. "So, what's married life like with my brother?"

A wicked smile found its way onto her face and she shrugged. "He's a possessive neanderthal. But so am I, so I guess it works out fine. What about you- your newest cuff?"

Mavon blushed, blushed for Gods sake, and grabbed out his phone. He trusted Snow with the knowledge of his sexuality, but still felt excited over showing someone his new beau.

"His name is Daniel and he's the same age as us. He works as a receptionist at the Hotel down the road." He picked a picture and gave his phone to Snow, watching her eagerly for her reaction.

She sat there looking at the photo, narrowing her eyes as she chewed. Finally, after Mavon was on the edge of bursting she gave an approving nod. "He's definitely a looker, at least a twelve out of ten on the hotness scale."

"I know right? He looks like he's out of some porn book- in a good way."

Daniel was quite the looker- sunkissed skin, dirty blonde hair and bespectacled eyes that gave just the right amount of intelligence, not arrogance.

Mavon shrugged a shoulder after he got his phone back and thought. "Promise me you won't be too intense when you meet him"

"By intense do you mean rude?"

Mavon deadpanned. "Yes. Yes I do."

Snow sighed, waving her hand in a non committal gesture. "That's like asking a cat not to scratch- but fine, I'll try."

Mavon guessed that was the best he could expect and nodded, sending a quick text to Daniel, telling him to prepare to meet one of the iciest people he had ever met. Hopefully, just hopefully, she would thaw out a bit- for Mavon.

"How's next Tuesday sound, at my house?"

Snow nodded, a serious expression coming onto her face. "If he breaks your heart, I'll break his neck."

Mavon gulped.

He didn't doubt it, not one bit.
