Because Of You Now Im Dead

chapter 6

I woke up with a sound of someone  banging on my door, I quickly got up to check who it is and found a big brown box with a card taped to it. I looked around to see if there were someone hiding but there was no one, its like someone had brought it with magic. I took the box inside and took the card it said Tatiana's memories I shaked when I read it. I immediately called Lucas come over. My question is why in fact my mind can't process this, who would so something like this and why. I looked at the box for like the tenth time wondering what's inside, I dont even know if I should open it or give to the chief for clues.  Lucas finally came and I showed him the card that came in the box and as he read it he looked at me scared.

"did you opened the box" Lucas said taking as he sat on the couch

"no I haven't I'm thinking of giving it to the chief"

"why it came for you" he said and I looked at him with a straight face

"Lucas I can't just open it. a random person left this box of Tatiana's memories with no explanation I didn't even get to see who left it. I have to do what's right and your coming with me" I said

"you're gonna take a shower first right"

"right" I said realizing that I haven't showered, brushed my teeth and I also haven't had breakfast. As I was getting ready I couldn't stop thinking of what's inside the box, could it be a prank or is it actually Tatiana's memories, could it be her dad did he came back and brought this to me or is he messing with me if he is then why. I finished getting ready, I took the box and locked my front door. As I was driving to the police station I couldn't help but to speed I can't stop thinking about that box plus its Saturday morning and I'm awake I could've still be sleeping.

"you need to calm down" Lucas said holding on to his seat. I know I'm speeding but I can't calm down.

"I really need to get to the police station"

"when was the last time you did anything normal"

"I can't do anything normal until this case is over" I snapped at him. I didn't mean to give him attitude but someone leaving this box at my front door is really strange could it be the killer who have left it there I have so many questions and I get frustrated cause I don't know the answer. We finally get to the police station and tried to find the chief.

"Shawn what if he starts to ask questions we didn't think this through" Lucas said

"He's not going to ask questions and if he does leave it to me"

"you know you could change your tone" he says annoyed by the tone I been using on him

"I'm sorry its just that this never happened to me before and I really need to know what's in this box" I said and he nodded. I feel like I'm going crazy with this case I can't wait to find out who did this to Tatiana.

"Shawn what are you doing here its your day off" the chief said

"I know but we were at my house and someone left this box at my front door and I thought it would be a good idea to bring it here since its said Tatiana's memories" I know its a lie but I need Lucas to be here.

"You both did the right thing, come to my office and we will figure out what to do" We went to his office and we sat on the chair while the chief opened the box. When he opened it I stood up from my chair and went where the chief was. The card was right it was Tatiana's memories, There were old photos, journals,letters and some other things.

"why would someone give you this" the chief said

"That's what I'm trying to figure out"

"did you saw who left it or do you have any idea who could've done it"

"I'm not sure"

"well you better open up this case and investigate"

"Really?" I said

"yes and your in charge oh one more thing Jane will be your partner. Here this is her phone number contact her and solve this case your not the only one who got a mystery gift" the chief said

"what you mean?" I asked 

"call Jane she will give you all the information. Good luck" 

"thanks chief" I said I took the box with me and left

"can we do this tomorrow?" Lucas asked as soon as we got out of the police station

"we can't I have to know who killed Tatiana"

"Shawn you've been obsessed with this case, you haven't had time for yourself man its not good for you" He said I know he's right but I can't I'm still the blame of why Tatiana's dead and I can't take it anymore plus I owe it to her I blame myself too and I'm not gonna stop until I find who killed her.

"okay how about I call Jane ask her about the information she has and investigate tomorrow"

"deal" I really can't wait to investigate. Whoever killed Tatiana is not going to get away with it and her dad is in my number one suspect I'm gonna have to find out where is he hiding and why he was so mysterious with Tatiana and this time I dont care if he doesn't want to talk when I find him he is not going to run away until this case is over. Lucas is right I am obsessed with this case and its because Tatiana was the love of my life and that killer took her away from me and what if he does it to somebody else I can't take that chances.
