Third person POV "Let me get this straight. You need Ariana's stele to open the safe, and you want me to steal it from her?"Magnus questions the two shadow hunters
"We prefer the word 'borrow'." Jace says while Isabel quickly continues
"Without her knowledge." Magnus thinks about it for a second before shaking his head
"No. No can do. Not happening." He tries to walk away but is stopped by jace grabbing his shoulder.
"Magnus, ever since Ariana found out our parents were in the circle, she's been messed up. She can't see the big picture."
"If the Clave is willing to subject meliorn to the silent brothers. If they're willing to go this far... what do you think will happen if they get the cup? This affects everyone." Isabel tells the warlock
"Help us get into that safe. Help is stop this." Magnus sighs before nodding his head slightly
"You both owe me. I'm talking 14th century. Gold, rubies... definitely diamonds. And Ariana can never know." He tells them and jace answers
"That's a given." ------ Ariana sat in her room changing her bandage. Not knowing that the high warlock of Brooklyn stood outside her door. Looking at her change the bandage, wincing ever couple seconds. Magnus snaps his finger making her stele disappear and appear in front of jace. He opens the safe with the stele. And grabs the necklace and card closing the safe once again. Pulling out his phone and texting Magnus. Just as Ariana grabs her jacket the stele appears back into her pocket without her noticing. Magnus disappears before Ariana can see him assuming she will be angry for the last time they meet. He burnt some of her hair

------ Ariana POV I walked in front of the group and meliorn when I hear indistinct growling. And look around to see werewolves "This could be a trap. Secure the perimeter. Do it now. I'll take meliorn inside. Just stay here make sure no one gets through." I say pulling meliorn with me as we walk. I turn around seeing none of the group there
"Not to late to turn back."meliorn tells me
"Quiet. I won't tell you again." We walk into the building. I rune the wall beside me. The wall in front crumbles down and a silent brother is standing behind I was about to walk until I hear my name be called out
"Ariana." I turn around and see clary. I faced forward seeing jace
"You told me you were taking clary back to then institute. You lied to me!" I accused him
"I did what needed to be done." He says simply
"Ariana, the Clave has gone to far. You have to see that. Please, just let Meliorn go." Clary said as she runs in front of me
"I'm following orders"
"You and your damn orders. Who cares about orders?"
"See? That's how little you know about being a shadow hunter. You couldn't possibly understand..." I was cut off by jace
"It's you that doesn't understand, Ariana. Not this time." I push past clary shoving meliorn with me
"I'm really sorry." Jace tackles me to the ground pinning my arms to the ground
"Clary, meliorn, go now." I try fighting against jace and he pins my arms down again
"You always did break the rules, but never the law, not until she showed up."
"You had it out for clary from the start. And now your getting married, Ariana? We both know what this is about."
"Oh, do we? Okay. Why Doesn't the legend, jace wayland, tell us what's it about?"
"It's about me! It's about your feelings. It's because you're..." before jace can continue I punch him making him fall off me. We both stand up quickly running at each other I throw a punch at jace but he blocks it and knees me in the stomach. I punch him again kicking him in the knee making him fall. He stands up again and throws a punch at my stomach. I grab his arms In mine slamming him to the ground throwing repeat punches. Until he pushes me off. We stand up again. And he throws a kick at my bandaged shoulder. I pushed his leg blocking it from damaging my shoulder even more. Punching him in the face slamming him to the ground with my seraph blade against his neck both of us panting hard
"Do it. Do it! I don't wanna be if your gonna hate me and be on different sides, Ariana." Jace gaps before continuing. " I love you to ever since you beat me in the fight leaving me with a broken arm. Okay I love you too but I'm scared and you're getting married." I sit on the floor staring at jace he gets up before crouching in front of me resting his four head against mine and his hands cupping my face. "Come with me. We'll fight Valentine the right way... together. As a couple."
"If we do that... we'll be considered traders like mom and dad." Jace breathes in a little rubbing his thumb against my cheek softly
"I'm begging you, as my parabatai...my lover. Please, Ariana, come with me." I look up at jace for a solid minute
"No." Jace looks around with watery eyes a tear streaming down his cheek before he walks away. I inhale sharply before getting up off the ground leaving the hotel dumort.
