Mommy,
Hello, Mommy. I really miss you, and want you to hug me again. Will you come home? I asked Daddy. Daddy told me you were up in the sky, visiting our beloved God. Daddy said God opened you with welcome arms, and you are in a better place now. I hope so. Can I join you one day? I would love that.
Today some little girl at my first grade class was bullied by some bad, mean kids who were all in the older grades. All because she was wearing glasses. I dunno what they're problem is. Glasses is okay, right? Daddy said they mean you are smarter than everyone else. I am going to ask Daddy for glasses to show of my smartness.
The leader of the bad kids just stared at me, holding back all his little friends. Daddy warned me to stay away from him, sounding protective. What's wrong with that kid? What's Daddy's problem? The big kids left after that.
Oh! There's Daddy calling me for dinner. We're having mashed potatoes, your favorite. I miss you, Mommy. Daddy said your little safe home was called Heaven. I want to be in Heaven! He also told me that bad people went to Satin in Hell. What is hell? I've heard a lot of the big kids saying that word. All my teachers wacked them with their pointy old rulers.
Ciao, Mommy. I will write again soon. Daddy said it's alright for me to write to you, but how do you get my letters, Mommy?
Yours Sincerely (Daddy taught me that),
Opal
