Changed Conner

Dear Momma,

I feel awful. It's been forever since I spoke to you. I wrote you a letter about Conner before, but it disappeared. I'm sorry I didn't say anything to you but I desperately looked for my letter. I think Conner has it. He changed, Mommy.

Remember how Conner gave me the muffin for Daddy? Today Conner didn't bully me. He pulled me behind a tree and said sorry. Then Conner said he liked my dress. I was wearing one of your old skirts that Daddy found from the attic. By the way, Daddy's feeling better and his doctor said it was probably just weariness before. What's weariness?

I haven't told you this before, Mommy, but Conner is really cute. I just hate his guts. His hair is brown, and his eyes are blue. Mommy, he's really tall, about the size of a fourth-grader. I only reach up to his stomach! How is that possible?! All his friends and my friends say that he'll be as tall as our principal in fourth-grade. Our principal is a giant from Jack and the Beanstalk.

Anyway! Momma, does Conner have my letter for you? Daddy says you and God see all, so you must have seen who did take it! When are you going to reply back? I will always love you. Life's not worth living without my mother.

Dearly,
Opal

P.S.: I took that from a book...
