Naomi
Today's the day Seirin and Meiji will be finally a joint school and renamed as Osaka High. The students of both Seirin and Meiji are so excited. A week before the joint school, I went to Meiji. Sebastian couldn't accompany me because he caught a cold. I brought him tea afterward. I wanted to talk to the headmaster regarding about the Asahina brothers. I told him to stop their suspension and punishment as well.
I took out the evidence I've collected over the years. I explained to him that the Asahina brothers were just framed by a Samezuka student named, Otusaka Miketsukami. He had an organization much bigger and powerful than the Asahina brothers. I also told him that the Asahina brothers and I will do anything to bring him down in a clean way. The headmaster was stunned. He didn't believe that Samezuka could do such cruel thing. He told me that he will take serious action towards the situation. He will also support our collaboration and do whatever he can to help us.
Mission complete. With great amount of perseverance, comes great need to nap. Unfortunately, the fucking universe conspired to make me even more stressed.
A day before, Seirin and Meijis' student council board gathered because we need to elect new members of the Osaka student board. Unfortunately, Michaelis lost to Tachibana Makoto in the position of president. He purposely made his speech terrible because according to him he wanted to spend more time with Misaki. As for me, I won against Nanase Haruka, an old friend of mine back at elementary, in the position of vice president. And Haruka's a guy with a girls name. He doesn't give much of a damn except when I call him 'Haruka' instead of 'Haru' and when I insult his weird love for mackerel. The other officers were Seirin students and a few were Meiji.
The students assembled at the assembly area and the headmaster made a speech that's so long, I almost dozed off. Makoto gave me a cup of coffee. In his speech, we were called upstage as the new student council members.
"Thanks," I said. "You nervous?" I asked to lessen the tension.
"Maybe just a bit. Let's work together and make sure to enjoy." He said with so much optimism.
"Jeez, you're so formal. Loosen up, I won't bite." I said as I punched his arm lightly.
"It's just that I don't feel like I'm not up for the job." He said with no hint of optimism in his voice, real quick. "I think Sebastian suits this position more than I do."
"You heard his stupid speech, right? Just accept it, alright. You were chosen because they saw something in you and that you're capable of doing something Sebastian cannot do. Besides, Michaelis said he wanted to spend more time with his girlfriend since it's his last year." I explained. "You'll do great, I promise. I'm here to help you."
"Thanks, Naomi." He patted me on the shoulder.
"No problem, Mako."
After the speech, students went to their respective classrooms. Some would explore the building and surrounding since it's all new. Some would mingle with each other. The student council members helped the students to find their respective classrooms. Makoto was called by the headmaster to discuss something. I have to admit this is tiring and exasperating.
"Hey, Naomi! Congratulations! We're so proud of you." Misaki said and gave me a very tight hug.
"OXYGEN. CIRCULATION. BLOCKED." I said through the suffocating hug.
"My bad," She released me.
"If you need anything, we'll be there to help you," Michaelis said.
"Oh cut the crap, Michaelis," I said and they laughed.
