Natsume
I died.
Almost.
I guess it's true then. You can't fight a prodigy if you're an airhead. It's like she's mentally calculating every move she makes and her opponent as well. That girl is very unearthly. Her every move is accurate. Her stance is formless yet graceful. Talk about a demon grace. I threw a punch at her but she simply misdirected my punch towards Tsubaki. My eyes widen as she threw me an uppercut.
"Not cool, man. Not cool at all," Tsubaki bickered.
The two of us faced her. Tsubaki came towards her. Naomi took his shoulder aggressively and pressed a vital point that knocked him off. My jaw dropped. I'm staring right now at my brother whose face was planted on the ground and barely conscious. I threw another punch. Then the unexpected happens.
I lost my arm.
Almost.
Naomi elegantly dodged my punch and elbowed my arm in a sensitive joint, making it numb. I tried to punch her with my left arm and kick her only to receive a much painful kick from her on my face. I sometimes wonder if she's made out of iron. Damn, I'm outpowered by a girl. Just a little more.
Beating the balls out of me is actually part of the plan. Yeah, I'm Mr. Sadistic Night.
"Naomi," I coughed blood. I just cannot believe a sweet and innocent girl I love is now a demon made out of iron. What kind of treachery is this?
"Why are you doing this?" I received another punch. Not from Naomi but from Miketsukami. Naomi stood behind him, watching me like I'm her main source of entertainment.
"Why you ask? It's because you are a low life pathetic bastard, Natsume. What do you think? You dare play with my empress's feelings. You are a fool to even hurt such beauty," He kicked me again. Well, he's gotten strong the last time we had a fight. I heard him laugh. I tried to stand up. And when I say try, I mean not passing out from the pain and numbness of my now battered body. At least I still have my soul. Or at least I have a soul. It took both my wits and strength to face them both without looking much of a fool as I am now.
"I know that I fucked up a lot of things for both of you. Especially you, Miketsukami. But nevertheless, you are still my friend. You don't love yourself. Then let me and the people who truly care for you do it. I understand your resentment towards me and I will do anything just to fix that gap between us three. I am truly sorry. I have been blinded by my pride and my enormous ego. And because of that, I lost a friend. I lost you. That is the biggest mistake I've ever made and I am not proud of that. I will never be-" My sentence was cut off when Miketsukami spoke.
"Silence, you fool! I've heard enough. Empress, I'll leave the rest to you if you wish," He started walking away from the scene. It's working. I saw Naomi face me with her famous signature smirk face.
"I can't believe after all those beatings, you still had the balls to stand up and face the almighty. You really want me to break your bones, love cake? My, I'd be happy to do the job for you," She said sarcastically but her tone sounded familiar. It's like she's sending me a message. And, love cake? She despised that nickname. She would punch me in the nose if I call her that.
"I'll assume your silence is a yes, Asahina," I looked at her eyes. Something is eerie. Did she somehow know about the plan? I knew something like this would happen. Don't ever mess with Naomi. She's so cryptic like the dark side of the moon.
"Hear me out, please. Give me one moment," I pleaded. She stared at me hesitantly.
"I suppose a few words would do since I will end you and your brothers. Make it quick before I change my mind," She said as she unclenches her fists. No way. The Naomi I know is always considerate. Just what is this play? I held my broken ribs and talked.
