autumn

you don't fall in love with the complexity of a human but the simple things that just barely slip through your fingers and out of your view.
things like the glow of your golden eyes.
how the swirls and twirls of chocolate twist and turns through your sun colored irises.
the way a blush makes your face blotchy with pink when you experience emotion heavily.
the way your hair is smooth and soft colored like caramel and scented like shampoo.
the way you smell of warmth.
fireplaces and autumn rain.
things that would slip by any ordinary human but i'm not ordinary and you certainly or not.
i'm in love with you,
and it's a different kind of love.
i've been in love before,
but it's always different.
i've been in love with winter,
and i've loved the spring,
but your in between my two favorite seasons,
summer and autumn.
you look like summer and you smell like the morning after a rainstorm on the first day of autumn.
you bring goosebumps to my skin, chills wrapping around my spine like intertwining vines.
i'm in love with you.
