MAROON ♤ POEMS I

we need space

darkness and silence are terrifying.

stars mask anxieties,
with glitter and little tranquillity.

the sky is a piece of dark fabric,
speckles of bright threaded throughout.

silence is different than quiet.

silence is deep, dark, and scary like the confines of outer space.

quiet is peaceful, calm, and serene like how streams pacify thirsty plants.
