My eyes feel heavy when I wake up, and I dont know why. I look over to my alarm, reading 2:46 AM. I remember falling asleep aroumd 10 PM. Why am I awake now?
I close my eyes again, folding my hand nehind my head. I close my eyes harder, as if it'll help me sleep faster. But it doesnt. I sit up, letting my eyes adjust to my dark surroundings.
I crawl out of bed, seeing no point in laying down anymore. I'm not hungry, and ive got nothing to do. So I walk back to my room, finding something decent to wear. I might as well just get drunk because there's no point in decency anymore.
Once I put on proper clothes, I gather my phone and small important belongings, heading out the door. I dont pay much attention to the trip through the hallway, lobby, and front doors.
I reach the club, and push through the doors. The guy at the front checks my ID and lets me in, a sly grin on his face. I look around, the sweaty bodies and drunk aura already filling my lungs.
I take a spot on an empty school, ordering a shot of the strongest they have. The bartender serves me, but he doesnt leave like they normally do. He leans against the counter, smiling at me.
"Why are you here all alone? Did you just recently go through a heartbreak or something?" He asks, and I raise an eyebrow. I'm about to say yes before I realize I'm not getting drunk because I'm heartbroken. I'm getting drunk because I'm bored and the last sliver of humane decency has left my body.
"Nope. Just here because ive got nothing better to do," I say, holding the shot glass to my lips. I'm about to take a sip but he pushes my hand down, taking the glass from me.
"Just one?" I say, trying to grab the glass again. He slides it away.
"Mm, not tonight," he says, and grabs my arm. I stare down at his hand wrapped around my wrist.
He speaks seductively, "How about you and I go somewhere else for tonight? I dont think getting drunk is your best choice here." I raise an eyebrow at his sudden mood change.
"What are you suggesting?" I ask, and he shrugs. "Follow me to find out," he says, turning away from me and walking around the counter, towards the exit. I cant help but let curiosity flood me, and I follow him.
He seems to be waiting for me, and we walk across the street into a coffee shop. "You seemed so sure I would follow you," I say as we sit down, and he grins.
"Ah, normally when somebody is offered to go somewhere with a hot guy they accept the offer," he says, clicking his tongue.
"And you're assuming I'm gay?" I ask, and he sighs.
"I'm not assuming, just speaking in general terms," he replies. I stare at him.
"But speaking in technical terms, granted you did follow me after I suggested a rather sexual tone, I have the right to assume," he says and I snort
"Right, you got me. Anyway, when anyone suggests a sexual tone, one has the right to question," I say, and he laughs.
"Not entitled to argue," he says, and I laugh too.
"Is bartending what your life has come to?" I ask, changing the subject. He sighs.
He answers, "I guess, but I sure do how to make a killer cocktail."
"And I know how to raise killer cock," I say, laughing a little. I try to ease otf any of the tension with that sentence. It doesnt last long before hes laughing too.
"And your life has come to satisfying horny men?" He suggests, and I smile a little.
"And myself. My dick always comes first," I say, pointing a finger.
"Mm, youre quite something," he says, clasping his fingers together.
"So are you," I reply, and he shakes his head. But then he stands up, looming over me, a hand resting on my shoulder.
"Ive gotta get back to work. Stay sober for me, alrigh?" He says, and I nod.
"Nice seeing you again, coconut," he says, and then he leaves. Before I realize what he said and look over my shoulder to catch him, he's gone, the bell above the door ringing behind him.
Nice seeing you again, coconut.
