Chapter 9 - Trust

"Done?" Jaden asked as he sat beside me

"Go take her quickly , my head hurts" Ethan said and I sighed. I put my books inside my bag

"Next time let me tutor you" Jaden said and I turned to him

"You're as dumb as her" Ethan mocked

"Let's just go" I said

"Let's go" We both stood up and I turned to Ethan

"Thanks" I said and he shrugged. Jaden pulled my arm and we walked out from the cafeteria

"So where are you taking me?" I asked and he turned to me giving me a teasing look

"You'll see" He said

"You're not planning to kill me , aren't you?" I asked and he chuckled

"If I planned to , I won't ask your permission. I'll just kidnap you" Make sense

"How about we eat first? I know the best burger place in town" He smiled and I gave him a thumbs up

"I need to fill my belly up so don't judge me when I eat a lot okay?" I said

"Chill , I ate a lot too" He put his arm around my shoulder and we walked to his car. We got inside the car and he started to drive. He turned on the radio and we sang along to Bruno Mars - That's What I Like

I never thought that Jaden will be this fun to hangout with. Well that sound stupid because if he's not fun the popular kids won't hangout with him.

"We're here" He said and we got out from his car. We got into the restaurant and it smelled so great. I ordered a double cheese burger with bacon and Jaden got the same thing as me

"How's the tutor with Ethan? Was he mean to you?" Jaden asked

"Sometimes he's patient but sometimes he bursted angrily at me. He always mean to me" I chuckled

"Just hold on for a little okay?" Jaden said trying to assure me

"I will improve my grade in 2 months for the exam so Ethan can freely go. He doesn't like tutoring me and beside I need to improve my score so I don't let him down after giving a lot of his time to tutor me"

"You like him right? Don't you want to be with him a little bit longer?" Jaden asked and I shook my head

"I want to be selfish but he hates it. What's the point? I've been liking him for 3 years and I'm used to look at him and like him from afar" I said truthfully

"But you're hurting yourself"

"I knew that I won't get him Jaden , I knew that everything will be useless in the end and I stupidly liking a guy who always mean to me but I don't know why my heart chose him" I sighed

"Besides I won't be here in 6 months" I said and he looked at me weirdly

"Why? Are you going somewhere?"

"I told you about London remember? Architect?" I asked and he nodded

"My family gave my drawing earlier and they accepted me already. I'm going there 6 months early"

"Well you're pursuing your dreams Kim , I can't help but be happy for you"

"I know , I want it that for a really long time"

"That's great and you know I'm supporting you from here" He smiled. Actually I submitted his video secretly to my dad's friend who is a NBA coach. I knew Jaden is capable to be a basketball player but they haven't reply yet so we need to wait

"You need to pursue your dreams too Jaden" I said

"Yeah , I'll try. I need to talk to my parents sooner or later" He said and I smiled

"Jaden.." I called

"Yeah?"

"It's stupid but in case.. I mean it won't happen thought but just in case. If Ethan asked where I go when I'm going to London. Please don't tell him okay?" I didn't know why I ask that but it came out from my mouth uncontrolled

"Why?"

"I just don't want him to know. I mean he won't remember a girl like me anyway. Why bother to tell him right?" I chuckled sadly

"I'll tell him that if he asked" Jaden said

"Kimberly , why don't you try to take his heart? It's not too late to do that" Jaden asked and I shook my head

"I'm different for other girls Jaden. He likes a proper , beautiful , curvy and just a perfect girl. While I'm not one and I'm out from his criteria"

"He missed out a good girl like you" Jaden said and I chuckled

"Joy told me that I'm crazy to think about this.. If I can be with Ethan in the future which is impossible , I will be the one who is lucky to have him"

"You lucky? He's the one who is lucky? Or I can say that he will be so bless" Jaden said and I shook my head

"I'm the one who is lucky to have a guy like Ethan. I know behind that cold words and his cold attitude. He's a good guy. I'll be lucky to get him but too bad I'm not the one for him" I looked at Jaden

"You're too kind for him , you don't deserve a guy like him. He will only hurt you"

"You're right but it's love that we're talking about here Jaden even though we all have our limits" I said after sipping my water

"Why you don't want me to tell him that you will going to London?" Jaden asked curiously

"Since 3 years ago , I've always been a ghost for Ethan. I watched him secretly , protecting him secretly and just be his ghost. I'm not his shadow but his ghost. It won't matter if I go or still there. He will never notice me" I said even though my heart was very painful to say it

"Can't believe there's a girl like you exist in this world Kimbely" He said disbelief and I chuckled

"Matilda is a good girl too but her background was the one who make her like her now. She's lonely that's why she wants attention" I said

"She's a slut"

"You judged her because her appearance. She's like a glass , so fragile and no one knew that. She put a thick barrier to people by trying to be regina george at school"

"You're unbelievable Kimberly"

"I know.. I even want her to be with Ethan. Only Ethan can make her feel love and just be happy"

"You're being selfless" Jaden hissed

"I was raised to be one Jaden. I let people's happiness come first before mine. That's why I landed in Seattle"

"Huh?" He asked

"My family all lived here , my dad's business grew fast when I was a kid so he needed to move to New York. My grandparents didn't want to move there because New York is more pack than Seattle. My parents took me and my siblings all to New York and I grew up looking at my grandparents were lonely. I asked my parents to let me live with them instead"

"They're happy and I'm grateful that I can make them happy again. One day they knew about my dream going to London and they told me to go. I told them that I want to be here with them but the force me to go. They said that they're not lonely anymore but I knew that's a lie but they sacrifice it for my sakes" I said and Jaden nodded

"You're a really wonderful person , I can't believe I met a girl like you" Jaden said and I chuckled

"Shut it" At the same time our food came and we ate while talking a lot of things

I'm glad that I can share a few things with Jaden. I trust him a lot even though I just knew him a few days
