MIHO'S POV
The weekend passed by so quickly. At least there's one week vacation on January 19 to 23.
School is so boring. I'm having a bad habit of sleeping in class. The teachers doesn't notice it though. Most of the time were vacant periods because I think the teachers are arranging a program.
"Excuse me. Please listen." our class president said, "I'll announce the competitions that will be held this week. We need volunteers and if you're interested just approach me." they were all listening and I am taking a nap, "The competitions are vocal solo, vocal duet, essay writing, poster slogan contest, charcoal rendering, photography. If we can't pick one volunteer then we'll have to pay Php1500 for each competition that we will not compete in."
"Let's pick a volunteer for vocal solo." said the vice president of the class.
"Miho!" they all screamed.
"What??" I demanded.
"Ok. For vocal duet?"
"Miho and Kyle!"
"What?? Wait!"
"Ok. For essay writing?"
"Wait a minute! Me? For vocal solo and vocal duet? No way!"
"Do it for the sake of the class?" they all said.
"We don't want to pay Php1500."
"But why me?" I asked.
"Just do it, Miho." Hannah said pouting.
"Ok. Ok. I will." I have no choice. They all cheered.
"For essay writing?"
"Me! Me!" Hannah was volunteering.
"Hannah? Essay writing?" I asked.
"It's not that hard."
"For poster slogan?"
"Miho!"
"Wait! What??"
"For charcoal rendering?"
"Miho!"
I think they were just joking because they were just smiling at me. I hope that it's just my imagination.
"And last for photography?"
"Miho!"
I think it's scripted to shout my name everytime.
"Am I really competing for vocal solo, vocal duet, poster slogan, charcoal rendering, and photography??"
"Yup!" they all said.
"But isn't that against the rules?? You're all kidding right??" I was worried sick.
"Nope. So only Hannah, Miho, and Kyle are competing?"
"Yes!" they all said.
"Hannah, Miho, and Kyle. Come with me and I'll give you a copy of the rules and other things you need to know."
I really have no choice is there? I think I'll just have to do it for the sake of not paying Php1500.
The vice president gave us the copies for the said events. I was having a hard time thinking because I only have two days to practice for vocal solo and vocal duet since the program will start on wednesday. The poster slogan contest will be held on thursday and charcoal rendering will be held on friday.
