I was floating in mid-air… all the clouds came rushing to me. I was feeling very cold all of a sudden and then very warm. The feeling and sensation was far more than just a simple pleasure, the feeling was…amazing! It felt so good but I didn’t know why and how. ‘What was happening to me?!’ I was so confused. I kept floating in mid-air, and then realised that I was not outside – the one way destination- where I was supposed to have been. I had ended up in a… garden?

It was such a beautiful garden, the bushes were so green and the roses were so pretty and smelt good too. I couldn’t resist it and touched one red rose and felt its soft petals. I then continued walking down the mysterious garden when I noticed a very curious looking statue, the statue was of a beautiful lady that was half naked with a transparent face rope that was covering her body from the right side, she was holding a beautiful crystal, and it was an amethyst which had a rose placed right in the centre. I recognised the statue straight away, it was the statue of the goddess who had once been allowed to come down to Earth and speak to her people until that day when she had lost her virginity and was no longer able to come down anymore.

This is when I felt the change happening. There was a sudden thunderstorm, the wonderful statue of the goddess collapsed and all the lovely trees, bushes and plants died altogether. I was so horrified and frightened, my whole body started to shake, it shook so heavily that I couldn’t hold it any longer. Images came rushing into my mind and I could no longer see anything else except for images…

They were images from my past, present life and my future, I was trying to figure out what these pictures were trying to show but couldn’t do so as they were way too vague, and then I heard a voice… a very soft, sweet voice. Somebody was calling for help. No, they were- ‘she’ was pleading!

“Bring me back my crystal, please I really need it!” I heard the voice say. I tried to follow where that voice was coming from but didn’t know where I even was. So I decided to act a little more ‘clever’ as Dave would have said and just kept listening.

“Why would I have taken such a beautiful and important property, from my faithful and only love?”

“I know you’ve taken it! Without the crystal I will never be able to return to my goddess.”

“Listen. I promise you that I have not done such a thing, but until you can find it, how about you just stay with me and we’ll find it together?”

“You would let me?”

“Why not! Especially if it’s all for you, my love.” And then everything shut down. I went falling right down, my head throbbing so much, I screamed as loud as I could, begging my god to hear me and help me out. Oh god… what was happening? I fell straight down into a deep river. Thank god, I was  still alive!

“Do you need help getting out?” I jumped and turned around immediately to find out that a man was standing there. He had a hood on, he was looking down and his hands were in his pockets. He was very tall and he wore nice clothes too.

“Umm, yes please.” This is when he looked up. I remembered seeing that face somewhere. Images came running into my head, my head started to shake…what was wrong with me!? I held my head in place trying to figure out what to do or why it was happening. My head didn’t stop aching for at least another 30 seconds, it was trying really hard to remember something but nothing came up. I slowly looked up and was about to ask the man to help me out of the river when I was so shocked to find that he was… GONE! What! The wind came blowing on to me. I was feeling so cold, alone and so strange. What had just happened??

I got out from the river and held my body. If I didn’t get back to my bus and warm myself up soon I would seriously catch a cold. This puzzle was seriously damaging my brain cells. Was this person that I had seen really there? Or had I been dreaming? I went back to finding out where I was, thinking all the way through about my journey, of all the bizarre things that had been happening to me lately… why had I ended up into a garden? What did all of those images mean? And who was this peculiar strange man? And why did I remember seeing that face somewhere?

‘Dance with the Nerds!’ I had stopped at a cafe to take a drink after such a long walk and all those thoughts ramming in my head. I knew that a cup of latte would certainly do me good. There were loads of people, all of them either in groups or just as couples. I was the only one alone. I went to the counter and asked the man at the till.

“Excuse me?”

“Aye aye my lovely, what d’you want to order today. Special treat today, its four days before Halloween!” he had a very bizarre accent and acted very chatty but I decided to keep my cold senses for the moment.

“Oh! That’s very nice of you, but I’m just very thirsty so could I –

“Well you gal might want to tell me first how much money you’ve decided to bring with you.”

“Sorry sir, but I don’t have any money, I umm, lost it on my way here.”

“Well sorry gal, no money! No drink!”

“But please, I promise-

“Hello! Stupid gal” he muttered. He grabbed on to my arm and pulled me right to his face. I was so surprised at his hot tempered reaction.

“If you want to start to be cheeky cheesy with me right now you better tell me.”

“But I just-

“You be quiet and go leave me alone, go beg somewhere else – understood?” he shoved me right into the front door, dropping most of the café tables and chairs. The whole café went silent, all eyes were on me, half of them started laughing, and they watched me stand up, wipe my bloody lips and headed for the exit. I ran as fast as I could, burst into uncontrollable tears. Why was my life becoming hell? Why couldn’t I just go back to my past and be happy again?

I ran back to the river where I had landed in. I bent down to my knees and just stared at my reflection. My long hair was all messy after not having combed it for so long; my blouse was all wet and was starting to smell bad too, like damp wood. What was I going to do? A sudden wave of sadness overpowered me. I laid down next to the river and fell asleep for a while into a deep, deep sleep, and then I was in a dream…
