“Everybody get into your places please, the ceremony is about to begin.” I heard someone, probably one of the teachers calling out for us to gain our places. Melody and I quickly entered the big hall. The hall was massive. It looked a bit like a cinema room. The chairs went in rows from the top to the bottom. There was a big screen at the bottom with large speakers and a mike, and beautiful spotlights.
“Are you Miss Everlie?” I turned around and found a tall lady, with pale skin smiling away at me. She was wearing a long black gown, and had dark makeup on.
“Yes Ma’am.” I responded.
“Nice to meet you Everlie, my name is Mrs Potter. I will be your guide for the week; I hope we will get along.”
“Yes, i hope so.”
“Let me escort you to your places.”
“Thanks. Coming, Melody?
“Yep. Right behind you.” Mrs Potter showed us to our new class. Each class had been placed in different parts of the hall. Our class had been put right at the top. There were two empty seats ready for Melody and I. We sat down.
“Hey Melody!”
“Hey Johnny!” I turned around to see a row of girls and boys smiling at us with big grins. They all looked absolutely amazing in their outfits.
“Hey Everlie, me name is Jolly Johnny.”
“Hey Johnny, that name sounds really cool by the way.”
“Thanks babe, we’re all in your class. Ready to make new friends?” he put his hand out for me to shake. I took it and shook it very happily.
“Soz Everlie, I forgot to introduce you to my little group of friends, this is Johnny.”
“Hello, she already knows!”
“I know but I’m just introducing you again, GOSH. This is Rebecca Troops.”
“Aya.”
“This is Troy Gwendon.”
“Hello.”
“This is Isabella Andre.”
“Hi gal.”
“And finally this is Anthony Thomson and Tom Elliot, they’re kinda like best buddies. Not gay though, don’t worry.”
“Hey everybody.” I answered very timidly.
“So whar you form?” I tried not to laugh out loud at his way of faking an accent.
“Did you mean where are you from?” I asked politely, ready to burst out any minute.
“Yep, babe.”
“Well, I come from high brains, it’s near Chicago.”
‘What? You’ve come far.”
“Yep, I know.”
“You must be exhausted.”
“Not really.”
“Did I forget to tell you how awesome you look BTW?” I blushed immediately.
“Oh shut up Johny, you’re embarrasing the new girl, what’s wrong with you? Soz for his immature behavior Everlie. How are you feeling anyway? Feeling tired?”
“I’m alright thanks.”
“That’s good; you’re going to need the energy, especially after the boys will be asking you to dance.”
“Is the event that BIG?”
“Yes it is, but its fun. Trust me you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.”
