CHAPTER 10

It was already midnight! I looked up to see shiny stars twinkling in the dark sky, so was the moon out tonight lightening the darkness of the Earth so magically. It felt as if they were all welcomes to my new life in this school. As I continued to observe the night I started to think about my Goddess and how she was probably watching me this instant. It had been a while now since Queen Clara was inside me. Not so much like a child but a soul, another living soul inside me, kind of freaky really!

I started to walk down the stairs leading to an open garden; this is when I felt the rush of wind caress against my hair, blowing my dress from side to side. I breathed in the amazing fresh air, feeling a cool sensation as more oxygen entered my body. I went over to the balcony and placed my arms on the shiny bars. Under the balcony was a river, it peacefully waved in with the wind. The refreshing breeze felt so cool and relaxing, I thought I was dreaming...All my worries and sad memories slowly evaporating from my body... for now.

I stood back a little and looked around me, there were many fountains all decorated with marble statues of the Goddess herself and other members of her family. I left the balcony walking down the stairs to the fountain nearest to me. The statue showed Queen Clara being held by the Goddess in her arms and around the Goddess was a figure of.... MR FRANKIENSTAIN! The family statue looked so adorable it brought tears to my eyes, making me remember the time when my family had once been united, a long time ago.

I walked around each fountain looking inside the water observing my reflection. It felt strange knowing that I was now able to possess visions and make others see things too. I washed away my reflection in the water when I stopped, hearing something. I turned around, looking back and forth slowly.

“What did I just hear?” I whispered to myself. I was about to return back to my reflection thinking that I had probably dreamt the noise when the same sound came again.

It was... a melodic sound. It was the sound... of music!

I wasn’t alone.

“Who’s here?” I asked myself, not wanting the person to realise I was here. I started walking attentively along the garden pathway, I passed different trees, different statues and different paintings but there was no being in sight.

The music became louder and much clearer to identify where the noise was coming from. ”I’m getting close” I muttered. I carried on walking for a little longer, following the music when something caught my attention.

Sitting on another balcony bar, leaning against a pillar, legs straight out before him sat... a man? No! He was way too young looking to be a man; he had a marvellous pale skin colour, dark brown colour hair with natural gold streaks which shone in the light coming from the moon. He sat playing the guitar, unaware of my presence, he sat, lost in the song he was playing, murmuring the song as he played. His lips, closed, were the colour of red roses. Not exactly red but there was colour to his lips.

So here was where the sound was coming from.
