"Guidea?" I ask meekly, sitting cross-legged near the edge of the cliff.
"Yes, Tyler?" She raises her voice in concern, looking at where I was standing a few seconds ago.

"Do you mind if I be alone for a minute or so?"
Guidea raises an eyebrow initially, but then kindly nods, turning her back towards me.

"Of course. I'll be waiting for you just down the path, alright?" She chirps, as I nod back in return, resuming to gaze at the stunning sunset. Blues, pinks, and oranges all complement each other in a fantastic spectacle.

I missed this.

Slowly, I hear footsteps approaching. Turning my head around sharply, I sigh and smile, gesturing for them to sit down next to me.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" I comment dreamily, looking over at my partner.

"Uh-huh." Luke nods, taking in the view also, smiling to themselves.

I sigh.
"You know, I didn't like sunsets before. They...reminded me of how alone I was in the world."
Luke glances over at me, their hazel eyes meeting mine, filled with curiousity.

"But...it's different now!" I reassure, "I get to watch it with you!"
At this, Luke blushes slightly, but then looks away.

I continue talking aside to them, still taking in the wondorous sunset.

"We'll do lots of other things together, too! Oh! And we could ask Sam to make a body, just for you!" I beam, glancing over at them again, but then softening slightly.

"Hey, are you okay, Luke?"

They look back up at me, intent in their eyes.

Something's wrong.

"Tyler, I...", they start, glancing away again, "I can't. I'm not staying."

I sit up straight slightly in shock, looking them straight on now.

"W-what? What are you saying? Of course you can stay! Why...can't you?" I say carefully, slightly concerned.

"Tyler." Luke snaps, grabbing my attention again,
"Before you fell, I was feeling so many different emotions. My soul was...uneasy. Angered. In pain. I wanted it stop. I wanted everything to end. But...that changed when you fell, Tyler. When I first met you, in the Ruins, I woke up scared and confused. But you were nice to me. You showed me mercy, kindness. And somehow, it made me feel better, going on this journey with you. It made me really happy!" They reminisce, wiping away a few tears from the bittersweet memories.

"What...are you trying to say...?

"Tyler...I think I can finally rest, now. D-don't forget about me, okay?" They stammer, as I slowly shake my head in denial. A faint purple glow starts to surround them.

"N-no... Luke, don't go!" I cry, grasping their shoulders.
"If you go...then who's going to watch the sunset with me...?" They catch me gently as I collapse in tears. Holding my chin up, they giggle and blush slightly.

"Tyler, don't tell me you've forgotten about all the great friends you've made! After all, it only takes a simple act of kindness to save all the lost souls." They laugh, but are cut off as I hug them.

The light flares up a little, with streaks of red flowing upwards from Luke's soul. Pushing me backwards lightly, they observe their state for a moment.

"Ah...My time is nearly up. Tyler..." They comment sadly, then open up the GUI I've gotten so accustomed to.
