ALINA'S POV

We return to the plane with Loki held between us, unable to make a move until we are safely inside the flying vehicle. He has no chance of escape now; we've got him.

With the criminal securely imprisoned, I have the time to catch up with the others.

"That was a nice move, Ali, I must say." laughs Tony, gesturing to the violin now laying, half destroyed, across the floor of the plane. I look down at it with a smile, then back up again, and my eyes come to rest on Loki. I am quite scared to find that he's staring at me. And not in a 'oh my god I want to murder you' kind of way, either; which seems to unnerve me even more that if he were threatening to kill me.

No, this is something different. And I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it sends a jolt of fear through me, a few times over, until I can't look at him anymore, and have to focus on something else.

I have to say, though, it takes me a while to drag my eyes away from him: despite what he's done, I still can't deny how attractive he is: another thing that makes his stare so unnerving, is those emerald green eyes. I feel like they're looking into my very soul, and every time my own eyes lock with them, I can't help the strange feeling that floods through my brain. It's like I've been right here before....

"Miss Alina, you look miles away, are you okay?" Steve's voice brings me out of my trance, and I look up suddenly, no longer under the spell of those emerald eyes. I shake my head, to rid myself of my thoughts: of course I haven't seen Loki before; the first time I spoke to him was a few seconds before I sent a violin flying into his face.

Wasn't it..

"Yeah, I'm okay thanks, Steve." I try my best to muster up a smile, but I don't think it ends up being very enthusiastic. Still, Steve doesn't question me further, even though I'm pretty sure he knows that something is up.

Suddenly, thunder begins overhead, and, within a few minutes, streaks of white lightning are being cast down towards the ground, flashing past us as we fly on, back to the helicarrier. I notice Loki's apprehensive glances upwards, towards the sky, and out the windows too, and am instantly confused. Puzzled, I elbow Steve and point towards the our criminal. "What's the matter?" shouts Steve, and Loki immediately looks towards him, instead "Scared of a little lightning?"

Loki's expression turns grim. "I'm not overly fond of what follows."

I raise my eyebrows in question at him, but, in answer, he just looks upwards again. I don't have a clue what he's talking about until something heavy crashes into the roof of the plane, denting the inside. It looks like....footprints...

What the hell?

And then, out of nowhere, a roaring voice comes from outside, the back door of the plane is ripped open, and another man, also in strange armor-type clothes - not much different from Loki himself - lands on the ramp. "Excuse me!" shouts Tony, stepping forward in his suit, but the other guy is having none of it: he sends Tony flying backwards, using some kind of hammer, grabs Loki, and takes off back into the night.

"Who the hell was that?" shouts Steve.

"Another Asgardian, I think!" I shout back, struggling to be heard over the storm, still raging outside. I'm pretty sure I'm correct on that matter: the hammer, the armor - Thor; it must be. Who else?

Tony begins to walk forward, towards the open door, but Steve tries to stop him. "Stark, don't we need some kind of plan of attack?!" he shouts, but Tony doesn't seem to be listening. Or maybe he just chooses not to. To be honest, this is Tony Stark: the second one is probably more likely.

"I have a plan." he says, in answer "Attack." And then he's gone, straight out the back door in a burst of flame from his iron shoes.

Hardly a thought passing my mind, I wrench open one of the cupboards in the side of the plane and pull out an emergency rifle. Checking that it's got some bullets, I prop it under my armpit and start towards the door, readying my wings to follow the other three guys to the ground. Just as I reach the edge, I hear Nat shout "Ali! Wait!"

But it's too late, because I'm already halfway off the step and falling to the forest below.

STEVE'S POV

I don't know what she was doing, but I caught her. Looking at him. In a way that didn't seem right for the criminal she'd just knocked out with a violin.

I noticed the flicker in her eyes, and it scares me, to think that the girl I've just met, who I think is possibly the best agent I've ever seen, has some kind of feeling for the enemy.

It is the same thing I notice when the other Asgardian lands on the platform. Before he leaves with Loki, he sees Alina, and stops dead, his eyes casting over her in less than a second, before he is back out into the storm again. I don't think she notices it.

But I do.

Something isn't right here.

ALINA'S POV

I land as quietly as possible, trying not to rustle the leaves on the forest floor. I can see Stark, and Thor, fighting it out in a clearing a few metres away. Cautiously, I tread through the undergrowth, keeping the rifle aimed at Thor as I advance forward.

And then, as if by magic, my cover is completely blown, as Steve literally falls from the sky, a parachute strapped to his back. He crashes straight into me, knocking me off my feet and at least a few metres forwards, and I find myself in between Thor and Stark's battle. "Alina, you've just interrupted my fight, now would you mind getting out of the way?" says Tony, his voice somewhat muffled by the iron mask covering his face. I roll my eyes at him, and begin to move towards him. "No, Tony, I won't move for you, because you need to stop fighting this guy, whoever he is." I shout back, hoping that at least some of my words might have a chance at getting into his brain. Once again, though, I doubt it.

"What's going on here?" I swivel around on my heels, recognizing Steve's voice from behind me, and find him running towards the group of us, shield in hand and ready to attack. He sees Thor, standing there with his hammer and poised to begin another assault, and starts towards him. "Now, sir, if you could just put the hammer down, then we might be able t-"

"No, Capsicle, I wouldn't do that, he loves his ha-" begins Tony, but it's far too late for that: Thor has already steamed past us and is now on course for Steve.

"Shit!" I shout, crouching to the floor and pulling my wings in around my body, as Thor's hammer connects with Steve's shield, expecting something to go badly. And it does. I am knocked off my feet, along with everyone else who happens to be within about a mile radius of the clearing, and am slammed sideways into a tree trunk, my arm smashing into the hard surface and causing me to wince.

Christ, that's going to cause a bruise.

I just about struggle to my feet, soon followed by Tony, who has now lost his mask, and Thor, who is just gathering his strength a few metres away, after having been blown backwards into a tree. "Right, are we done here?" I shout, striding back into the clearing and trying to ignore the pain in my arm.

Nobody answers me.

So I pick up my rifle, and load it up, pointing it at each and every warring male in the forest, and shout "I said, are we done here!"

Tony sighs, and walks off into the trees, and Steve drops his shield and pulls the mask from his head, collapsing to the floor in a heap. "Yes, ma'am" he says, sounding out of breath and exhausted "I think we're done here."

"Good."

Smiling to myself, I pull my phone out of my pocket, and leave a message for Nat.

Thor's been sorted. Bring back the plane. And for God sake, don't let this lot see each other all at once EVER again.

NOTE: My writing is becoming sloppy and this chapter was boring, but seriously please do not worry, the next chapter may hold a lot of stuff that you may or may not have seen coming!! Hope you liked it anyway! ~ Sky
