In the Atlantic, Princess Mari lived in an ancient castle that was built by humans but it sank under the sea. She was called Princess because her mother was a queen and her father was Poseidon, creator and ruler of the oceans.
She was a happy and bubbily young girl till the human's King O'Dell, wanted to see a mermaid in real life so he sent out orders to capture a mermaid for him to keep in his 'rare collection'. Unfortunately, Mari's mom was out getting ingredients like seaweed and octopuses for some medicine.
Princess Mari was only 6 years old at that time so it was hard news when she heard that her mother was captured and will probably never come back again. There were rumors that she'd might even be dead.
