The flight was long, but I wasn't bored because I sat near the window. It was such a beautiful view. The different colors of the land showing the terrain of that particular region, the thin blue lines that showed there were streams and rivers, and finally the clouds lightly blanketing the sky with the setting crimson sun in the back. Breathtaking. That's all I could say.

That was until I felt something wet on my shoulder. I turned to my left to find my sister drooling all over my shoulder in her sleep. "Get off me! Gross!!" I jerked her awake only for her to smirk at me saying she would always remember my expression when she woke up. The rest of the flight went by smoothly.

It was only a matter of a few minutes when we claimed our luggage and were on our way towards the exit. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long for a taxi as there were many.

I gave the driver our address, loaded our luggage in the boot of the car and made ourselves comfortable. My sister had her headphones on with Taylor Swift blaring on.

As for me, I casually looked out of the window at the familiar surroundings of Los Angeles. The buildings, the people on the streets and the atmosphere of L.A., in general, brought a small smile to lips as if reminding me that this city was a part of me. But at the same time pulled a heartstring because I can never relive the moments with the people who made this city my second home.

We came to our street after about an hour and unloaded our luggage. Looking at this house just made all the memories flood back into my mind. The good, the bad and the horrifying.

Now I kinda regret coming back. But its too late now, right?

I guess I have to try.

Slowly I pick up my luggage and walk up the porch steps. I take out the keys from my bag and unlock the front door. Walking in I search for the light switch and turn it on.

Nothing has changed. Except for all the furniture and shelves are covered with white cloth pieces.

I closed the door behind me and dragged myself up the stairs along with my luggage. When I reached the top of the stairs, I walked down the long corridor, looking at each of the bedroom doors as I walked passed them and one of the bedroom doors sent a bone-chilling shiver down my spine.

Anyways, I finally reached my room which right down the corridor.

Deep breathes.

Deep breathes, Becca.

Its gonna be alright.

It took me a few seconds to gather up all the strength I needed and turned the doorknob to my bedroom. As I walked in, I was hit with an immense familiarity with my room. The subtle mauve on the wall right behind my bed, the other three walls were the color of ivory. I remember fighting with my mom just so I could get the colors I wanted to paint my room with.

To the right, there was a window with mauve curtains that had white swirls on it. There was a small couch near the window because I used to love sitting on the couch and reading my favorite books. And on the left side of the room there was a study table.

I heard a faint knock on the door followed by a "Becca, can I come in?"

I walked to the door to find my sister standing there. "How can I help you dear Madam??" , I asked her in a teasing manner.

"I just thought maybe I should go to Starbuck's or something, coz I really need some caffeine right now. So just wanted to know if you would grace me with your presence?"

Can't turn down such a good offer, can you? "Sure. Just let me freshen up a bit and get changed. I'll be down in ten."

With that she nodded and left, closing the door behind her. I walked into the bathroom had a quick shower which took me like two minutes. Man, I should get a record for showering so fast. Coz honestly, I take half an hour to shower.

I stepped out of the bathroom and changed into a comfortable pair of washed denim shorts, a grey loose-fitting half-sleeved shirt and white sneakers. I gently brushed my hair and left it so my naturally wavy hair fell to the middle of my back. I quickly grabbed my phone and some money and shoved it into my pockets and walked out of my room and met Ivy downstairs. One thing I noticed was that we both wore similar outfits, the difference being she wore a pink shirt like mine and wore sky blue sneakers.

We stepped out of our house and headed down the road. We just walked to the nearest Starbuck's which was three crosses away. We looked like total maniacs walking and laughing our hearts out at the most stupid things ever.

And to be honest, unpacking was the last thing on my mind.
