Ah, the first day of school. I wonder how that's gonna go. Anyway, I get out of bed and head straight to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and walk into my closet and hover over my clothes thinking of the perfect outfit to wear.

I decide to go for something cute yet cool, so I picked up a pair of light blue high-waisted ripped jeans and paired it with a cute black top and a cute necklace. The best part of my outfit were my shoes: maroon lace up buckle square heeled ankle boots.

I just let my hair down, put a few hair ties on my wrist, grabbed my bag off the chair and headed downstairs. Breakfast was coffee with the brookies I baked yesterday and we were ready to go!

We hopped into my mom's car and drove down while listening to the radio. Time goes by while we jam to the tunes on the radio and the next thing we know, we were in the school parking lot. I turn off the ignition and we step out to the cool breeze of the air and before us stood the school building and a stone with Cloverfield High School inscribed on it.

There were a lot of people in the parking lot and all the way to the building too. Some of them catching up with each other about what they did over the summer and others with their heads buried inside their books or bobbing their head to the music on their headphones. As we walked through the parking lot, people stopped what that were doing and turned the heads to look at us.

Weird....

I mean I get that we were new but it would be nice if they toned down the staring by a couple of notches. Then the whispers began.

I mean whispers!?

You've got to be kidding me right?

Anyway, we try and ignore it. But it's kinda funny you know because they don't know us and we don't know them and it leads to I don't know.. Crazy opinions on a person. Well we eventually reached the school reception to collect our schedules and locker info.

"Good luck Ivy! We can do this together. I'll see you after school at practice."
"Cool. Good luck Becca. See you later at practice. Bye-bye."
With that we went our separate ways.

I find my way to the senior hallway and look around for my locker. 315.

315.

315.

I keep saying in my head and looking left and right.

315 left.

315 right.

And it keeps going on until...

Ah there it is!

Almost at the end of the hallway.

But some guy's leaning against it and tossing an apple in his hand for no apparent reason while talking to some other guy. Well I gotta shoo him away from it, so I walk up to MY locker and before I say anything, the guy turns to me with a smug grin on his face and starts, "Hey girl! I've never seen you around. Why don't you follow me and I'll show you the world?" He says all this while his eyes keep flickering to my chest.

Pervert.

So this is how he flirts?

He sounds like a desperate dying cow and seems like one of the jocks of the school. Okay time to give him a piece of me.

So I step closer to him and say trying to be as flirty as possible, "Yeah, sure. But first could you tell me where your locker is? So I know I can meet you there anytime."

This idea seems to thrill him. So he stands up straight and there's this expression on his face that screams 'Yo, I'm getting the new girl. She wants me and she's going to beg me. I'm king of the world' and what not. So he's all attentive and proud now and he points to his locker. Good. It's on the same side as mine but towards the other end of the hallway. So I lean in closer to him and slowly grab the collar of his shirt with a smile on my face. Oh he has no idea what's going to hit him.

He thinks I'm gonna kiss him but instead I step back and start to drag him along all the lockers till I reach his. With every locker we pass the thud is more effective and his groans become louder with every bounce he feels. I'm sorry if you think I'm being violent, but I think he deserved it and looks like he's messed with a lot of girls. I felt like Jade West or Sam Puckett because they don't take shit from nobody and I admire that. So as you see I'm not actually a 'sugar and spice everything nice' kinda girl.

When we finally reached his locker, I let him go. He somehow managed to hold on to his apple. So I take it from his hand and stuff it into his mouth and warn him, "If you ever think about disrespecting a girl or woman with your words or actions in your life ever again, remember this could happen again. Also you don't want to mess with the new girl."

I heard people gasp at this.

Oops?

I didn't realise we had an audience. Also, I think that's quite the impression I made on the first day of school. But hey! I did the right thing. I stood up for me.

As I was walking back to my locker, I looked at the people around me. The girls were actually smiling and giving me nods of appreciation and a thumbs up for what I did. Looks like it happened to them too. While the guys, I think they know they shouldn't mess with me or try anything stupid around me. Then everyone went back to what they were doing.

I put in my locker combination and it clicked open. So I buried my head inside the locker and the thoughts that were running in my head were 'Why in the world did I do that? Also why am scared? Or am I paranoid? Looks like I'm not making friends.'

I shut my locker and with that my thoughts too. I shrug to myself and proceeded to search for my English class.

It's gonna be a long day.
