Chapter 14: Jealousy

Lauren's POV

"Wait, hold the phone. You and Zayn?!" Alexa asks.
"Yeah, me and Zayn," I say smiling.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for you!" Alexa says.
"What about you? I'm excited for you too, Lexa. Niall Horan. Celebrity crush," I say.
"I know! I'm so happy!" She exclaims.
"How long are you staying here? What happens when you go back to Miami?" I inquire.
"I don't know. I haven't really thought about it. I hope we can do long distance," she answers.
"Or... You can move in with us?" I state more as a comment than a question.
"Lauren Michelle, are you serious right now? Will the others allow it?" She questions.
"I'm pretty sure. I can go around asking everybody. They'll all just say yes. I guarantee it," I reply.
"Sure. I'm going to go talk to Niall, okay? See you later," she says leaving the room.
"Bye!" I shout after her.

I have to tell Camila about me and Zayn! I run out of the room and I run down the stairs. I hear Camila laughing in the kitchen.

"CAAAAAAMZ!" I yell running into the kitchen.
"Lolo, shush! I'm on the phone with Austin!" She says.
"Camz, please. This is important," I say.
"Okay, fine. Only because you're my best friend," she says
"Thanks Camz. I love you!" I say.
"Yeah yeah, I love you too. Austin? I have to go. Lauren needs me. I promise that I'll call you back later," she says into the phone.
"Hurrrrryyyy," I complain.
"Okay, bye. Love you!" She says hanging up the phone.
"You've been dating for like a day and you're already saying I love you?" I ask.
"Whatever. What's so important that it couldn't wait?" She queries.
"You're not going to believe this but Zauren is official! Well it's not official official but it's official!" I respond.
"LOLO, THIS IS HUGE! I NEED TO SET UP A CELEBRATION," she says.
"Wait, what? Celebration is not needed, Camz," I tell her.
"Fine..." She says disappointed.
"I can't believe it. I'm still afraid of what the fans will think," I say truthfully.
"Don't be! How about we all come out together. You and Zayn, me and Austin," she suggests.
"You haven't told the fans?" I ask.
"No. We're waiting for the right time. I guess now is the time," she replies.
"Can we do it tomorrow? I need some time to process this," I say.
"Okay but Lolo, I can't believe it! I've supported the both of you since day 1 and now? ZAUREN IS OFFICIAL!" She shouts.
"Camz, I haven't told anybody except Alexa yet! Be quiet!" I whisper shout.
"Wait, you told Alexa before me?" She asks in disbelief.
"Camz, don't be jealous. I went to talk to Alexa and then I just told her. I wuv you, Camzi!" I say kissing her cheek walking away.
"I love you too!" She yells after me.

I smile to myself knowing that everything in my life is perfect. I have an adorable, sweet, caring boyfriend. 4 crazy best friends. 1 childhood friend. And 4 hilarious guy friends living with me. Nothing could get better than this. What time is it? It's 2:02! I run to the pool and I search for Zayn. I hear guitar playing and I look everywhere but I don't see anybody. Suddenly I hear singing.

I don't care what people say when we're together.

So happily.

I start to smile eye to eye when I see Zayn holding a rose and Louis, Harry, and Liam singing background for Zayn. Niall is playing the guitar of course. Zayn walks towards me and hands me the rose. I graciously accept it and I sniff it.

"Lauren Michelle Jauregui, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks holding my free hand.
"Yes! A million times yes," I answer.
"Finally!" Louis shouts to the sky. Everyone looks at him weirdly.
"Congrats mate," Liam pats Zayn's shoulder and walks back into the house.
"I'm happy for the both of you. Lauren, if Zayn hurts you, feel free to slap him hard across the face," Harry says walking towards the door.
"Gee, thanks Harry!" Zayn sarcastically says. Harry waves his hand as in saying you're welcome.
"We both scored our girls in one day. I'd say that we accomplished our goals except Harry," Niall says walking inside with the other two.
"What's Harry's goal?" I ask my new boyfriend.
"He wants Camila to be his girl," Zayn responds.
"As much as I ship Camarry, Camila has Austin and I support Camila no matter what. I'm happy for her and she's happy for me," I say.
"I completely understand," he says. Louis walks up to us and pulls us in to a group hug. He pulls away and has tears in his eyes.
"Uh, Lou? Why are you crying?" Zayn asks.
"Because my babies are growing up!" Louis responds.
"We're not anyone's babies except for our parents," I say.
"I honestly will support the two of you for forever. I love you both," Louis says walking away.
"We're official. I love you, Lauren Michelle Jauregui," Zayn says intertwining our hands and walking us inside.
"I love you too, Zayn Jawaad Malik," I say pressing my lips to his cheek.
"Lauren..." Alexa says slowly.
"Alexa..." I copy her.
"Don't be mad but-" Alexa starts.
"Hello, Lauren," someone from my past says.
"Luis?" I exclaim not believing my eyes.

Zayn's POV

Luis? Who's Luis? Lauren lets go of my hand and drops the rose running over to hug this Luis guy. I pick up the rose and I give it to Camila who just walked in with her mouth hanging open. Camila drags me back outside and slaps my shoulder. I give her a look of confusion.

"What was that for?" I interrogate.
"You should not have let Lauren go. Luis is her ex-boyfriend and best guy friend! She's not gonna quit hanging around him. He's not bad or anything but when it comes to Luis, Lauren is wrapped," Camila explains.
"I didn't try to. She let go of me," I say.
"You better get her back before you lose her," Camila scolds me walking inside leaving me to think.

Would Lauren really leave me for this Luis? She wouldn't. We just got together. I'm not prepared to lose her. I'm gonna fight for her. What is Luis doing here anyways? I follow Camila back inside and I see that Luis and Lauren are gone. I walk over to Alexa on her phone.

"Where's Lauren?" I ask her.
"She and Luis went up to her room. Don't be mad or anything. They're just catching up. Lauren really really likes you and she wouldn't leave you just like that," Alexa replies.
"Thank you. Also, I'm happy for you and Niall," I say.
"Thanks. I'm happy for you too," she says.

I walk into the kitchen seeing Camila put the rose in a vase full of water and walking away. I sigh sitting down on the chair by the counter. I rub my eyes and then I rub my temples. I will not allow Luis to just come here and steal my Lauren. Did I just say MY Lauren? Come on, Zayn. You don't own her. I know I don't but she is mine. My girlfriend.

"Zaaaaaayn," I hear the all too familiar raspy voice call out. My beautiful girlfriend walks into the kitchen and kisses my cheek again. She walks to the refrigerator and grabs two bottles of water.
"Lauren, who's that Luis guy?" I ask.
"My friend. Why?" She asks looking up.
"You two seem to have a history. Care to tell me what it is?" I inquire.
"He's my ex-boyfriend. Is somebody jealous?" She smirks setting the water bottles down and standing in between my legs resting her head on her arms that are on my thigh.
"N-noooo," I stutter.
"Z, I love you and ONLY you. Nobody else. Well, except my family. But not even Luis can drive us apart. You are my one and only. I will never ever leave you. Please, don't be jealous. You're stuck with me," she says.
"Okay, I believe you. Lo, you are gorgeously gorgeous and I just didn't want to lose you to somebody else. You're my special girl," I tell her.
"And you, my man, are my special guy," she says grazing her lips on mine.

She pulls me in and kisses me hard. I deepen the kiss by running my tongue over her bottom lip asking for entrance. She opens her mouth a little and I shove my tongue into her mouth. Our tongues dance around with each other and as we hear somebody clear their throat, we pull apart. We look towards the door and Luis is standing there. I see Lauren turn bright red as she looks into my eyes. She pecks my lips one last time and runs off with Luis and the water bottles. She's definitely mine.

A/N

ZAUREN IS OFFICIAL!!! And Luis? What's he doing here? What do you think of Alexa moving in? I know that this isn't my usual update day but I just wanted to get something in. I probably won't be able to update this weekend so I'm doing it now. I'm going to change things a bit in this fanfic. Luis is Alexa's older brother and they live alone in Miami. I hope you guys like it so far. I know I'm not very good at this stuff but I'm trying so so hard. I'm trying to put everybody's ideas in and some Camarry action. Oh and Fifth Harmony was in Tampa the day after I left and then Orlando the day after I left. 😒 that's just great but whatever. I'm gonna see them soon anyways. AND THE OLD WATTPAD IS BACK. YAY!!!
