Chapter 2

I start to make the fire. We already made cots to sleep in. Correction. Me and Hashi made cots for us to sleep in. Kathryn however is a vampire, doesn't exactly need to sleep. Just blood. I poke at the wood in fire with a stick trying to turn a piece over.
"So want to tell me what 'I don't want to drink blood of what I used to be' kind of thing?" I ask Kathryn. She gives me a look almost saying 'really? I need to tell this?' But sighs and starts her story.
"It happened after the earthquakes. I was a pilot and was on my way to Tokyo when the first one struck. I saw the atmosphere changing and there were these things looking down at us with red glowing eyes. I don't know how but they leaped from the world and came to ours. One could of easily broken the glass, the plastic holding it even all the metal on it. About a hundred attacked us. One of them I don't know who got me and I was knocked out. When I woke up my co pilot was dead as well as many passengers but the others just where gone, disappeared. Ever since then I've been a vampire and been eating Magical creatures. I ran into Hashi when I found two serpents picking on him. I felt sorry for him. I helped him out and he kept on bothering me till I kind of got used to him being around. Even went away once but I found him." Kathryn tells starting to stroke the young Dragonpup's fur.
"I'm sorry for what happened. What happened to him though?" I asked pointing to a snoring Hashi.
"He's been alone for as long as he can remember, he saw a enchanted fish when the serpents attacked him. Both wanted the food but the serpents where snapping at him as if he was also food. I couldn't let that happen." Kathryn explains looking at the pup lovingly. I smile at them and listen to the crackling fire. I couldn't help but feel a bit relaxed now that I know more about them.
"What about you? What messed up sad story happened to you?" She asked smiling. I looked at her with solemn eyes. I sigh.
"Maybe another night, I would like to also tell it to Hashi. Plus I wouldn't mind some rest." I said looking at my cot longingly. 'When was the last time I slept?' I wondered. Last week. I felt my eye lids begin to close as I lied on the cot. I felt my back relax having all the weight off. Sleep then got the best of me drifting off into dreams.
~dream realm~
I was in my yellow sundress in a field. My hair held back in pigtails as usual with red ribbons. I saw my Aunt off in the distance setting up a beautiful picnic. I felt warm arms embrace me as I look over my shoulder to see my sister. I smile wider and hug her back. I cried into her shoulder, about how much I missed her. Then it all turned dark, my sister had vanished and you could then see my Aunt's rotting corpse laying dead underneath our used to be well built house. The tears kept on streaming and streaming down my cheeks. I let out a long deserved scream. When I feel something prodding my arm.
"Lunar..." someone says
'Who's that?' I wonder.
"Lunar! Wake up!" They shout and with a jump I'm out of the dream to see Hashi and Kathryn looking at me worriedly. I look at them confused till I put my hand to my cheek. It was wet. Tears. I was crying in my sleep again.
"You ok?" Hashi asks flying down to my lap, concern shown. I nod my head starting to pet Hashi's soft fur.
"Yea just had a horrible nightmare." I say my brain still in the far off place. Hashi nods understanding what kind of nightmare it was. The kind that you could never escape.

Hey guys really sorry but they just announced the final day of school not to long ago. As much as I'm hyped for summer this also means I have to start studying for exams. I'm also now the right age try to and get my learners permit so I also want to keep studying for that so then I can pass the test. This all does mean I'm going to have to spend less time on wattpad.
