"That's it? It's over?" I ask my voice scratchy as if I had cotton balls in my throat.
"Yup. You passed! And now I must give you the stone of death. To remind your death isn't the answer and even though you miss someone, you should live life for them."  Says the hooded figure. The dark figure speedily flew around in a circle and soon a gem appeared looking like a ruby only when I grabbed it and looked at it closely, it looked like it was bathed in blood or painted but didn't have that same oily smell.
"Eh hem." I hear and then turn to Kathryn, who still held Hashi in her arms. I completely forgot she was here.
"You may need to wipe your eyes. You were crying." she practically whispers. I put one hand on my cheek and felt the coldness. I shake my head and wipe my eyes with one arm and hold onto the stone.
"Ok, we need to get out of here. Thank you...... where'd it go?" I ask Kathryn, the shadow figure now gone. Huh well, it was a demon and a lot can happen.
"Any way we should get going. We don't know when your sister is gonna come. We're already out in the open." Kathryn states hurrying towards the fly ship. That's when an arrow flies right by nearly missing Kathryn's right foot. I gasp and grab the back of my shield, placing the stone in one if my side pockets.
"Well, well, well little sister. It seems you are the first one who got here but I will gladly take that first stone from you." Audrey yells from across the field of junk.
"Kathryn, I think Hashi should wake up. He needs to tell the guys, we need to be picked up." I tell her. She nods and starts shaking the pup awake. Soon more arrows start to fly down and I try and protect Hashi and Kathryn as best I can with my shield. Hashi can't go now. If he does he may be shot down by one of the arrows and get hurt. I start to panic as more arrows come down and can see Audrey marching her way over, proudly to gain a prize. Max. Kenta. Please tell me you guys are near?!? I then heard a bang followed by a high pitched whistle like fireworks, instead came a round huge cannonball right at Audrey. Her eyes widen and she tried to dodge it by opening her black wings and soaring only to still get hit in the legs.
"That'll hurt." I say looking in the sky to see the ship, I once thought I'd be glad to see that old boat. Hearing a rumble I look back over to Audrey just in time to see her use her demon strength and move the cannon ball. Now this cannon ball was huge. It was a boulder, so when Audrey pushed it from behind and it started to look like we were in an Indiana Jones movie, fear struck me really bad. That's when I blacked out in a way. I wasn't in control of my body or my voice or anything apart of my body but my conscious still saw what happened next. Guessing my eyes turned red, the thing controlling my body jumped on top of the cannonball and smashed it right under my feet. I look over to Hashi and Kathryn.
"Get out of here and take the stone." I said my voice grown deeper and jagged. I tossed Kathryn the stone and then looked over to my sister.
"Well, look who just decided to wake up?" Audrey cooed evilly grinning. I saw claws come out of my finger tips and a lioness tail coming out from behind.
"Let's go." I growl and charge towards Audrey full force. Audrey starts to run towards me as well. As soon as I could practically scratch Audrey, I felt cold ropes around my claws, waist and a foot. The monster that was in control did not like that and turned around with claws ready to slice, when I saw that the ropes were from the ship. The monster let's me back in control and everything retracts. Audrey takes this moment to hit me square in the jaw. The ropes fasten and go faster to pull me up.
"Till we meet again my dear sister." Audrey growls and heads over to the nest of demons, her court not far behind. I grit my teeth in anger and practically scream. When I'm finally up and standing on the deck of the ship, everyone looks at me, waiting for something.
"Who's idea was it to pull me up?" I hiss out.
They all look over to Max as in to look for answers in what to say. So he did it huh?
"WHY? WHY DID YOU PULL ME BACK UP?! I COULD HAVE KILLED HER, I COULD OF STOPPED HER!" I yell, tears starting to sting my eyes.
"You're not ready yet! You're demonic powers come out of no where and by the looks of it, you don't seem to have control! You don't even know what you're fully capable of!" Max argues back. I hear the sensible part of me agree with him but at same time I felt as if I was gonna burst into flames of anger. So what if I didn't know what I was capable of? I was just a centimeter away from scratching Audrey's eyes out. I feel someone take me by the wrist. Looking over I see Kathryn with a steel eye glare. Before I have a second to say anything she starts to drag me below deck, into the ship mates quarters.
"What?" I finally spit out and unexpectedly I feel a hit on my face.
"Don't be an idiot, okie? Now listen to me, first off you need to calm down, the anger you have right now is just gonna make the demon wanna come out more. That's how it came out in the first place right?" She ask not showing any sympathy. While rubbing my cheek, I slowly nod. I was angry, and scared that something was gonna happen to my new found friends.
"Here, I know you weren't attacked by a dementor but chocolate still helps you be back in a happier spot." She says pulling a chocolate bar out of her pocket. I stare at it for a minute.
"I got it when we raided your aunts shop, okie? I have a whole stash. Don't tell Hashi." She tells me. I nod and take the chocolate, unwrapping it to smell the nose twitching coco. I feel my mouth water and take a bite. Slowly while eating the chocolate bar, I calm down.
"Feel better?" Kathryn ask now with sympathy and kind eyes again. I nod staring at my hands that now where covered in remnants of chocolate. I start licking them when Kathryn sighs.
"Look Lunar, I know it isn't the same thing, but in ways I get what you're going through. Being a vampire was something I had to get used to and when i first started I had to feed almost every night. I even at one point thought of sucking Hashi." She states. My eyes widen on how that would of gone. Hashi flying around while Kathryn would be going into a feeding frenzy, the little dragon pup would have to do a lot to hide.
"I'd black out and watch as another part of me took control a lot of the times. That happen with you?" She ask. I look to the floor in shame and nod.
"How'd you learn to control it?" I ask.
"Practice and learning how to become calm again. I would go a day without feeding. Then a few days, then a week and now a month." She places her hand on mine and smiles at me.
"Just remember something that can help ground you. Something happy." With that she left me in the bunker. Leaving me with my thoughts. Something grounding. Something happy.
