She looked up at the large man, who was bald aside from one blonde curl. "Are you alright?" he asked, with his deep voice. "Why did you get me?" she asked. "What do you mean?" he asked her. "You coulda left me, why didn't you?" "Well, I couldn't just leave you there alone, you needed help," he replied.
She nodded, laying her head on him. He looked at her left shoulder, where her arm should be attached, however it wasn't. He couldn't get any well-known mechanic, they might tell someone about her, and he knew what would happen next. He decided to get another mechanic, one who may not have been great but he knew they wouldn't say anything.
The mechanic (once contacted) agreed to help, giving Ula her automail arm. Armstrong hated to see the process of the port and the arm itself installed, but he didn't really have a choice. She didn't want to be alone during it, thus Armstrong had to be there. It wasn't until Ula was thirteen that she was able to use the automail as if it was a normal limb, but it was worth the wait...
She remembered how much it hurt, getting the automail... She could remember it like she had gotten it yesterday.
She simply put her right hand up to her left shoulder, where metal and skin met... She gently rubbed the area, the could air making it hurt. Her dog, Lexi stared at her, barking once to check on her owner. "I'm fine," Ula said, petting the dog.
She kept walking, only stopping when she caught a glimpse of someone entering an abandoned building. She walked up, peeking her head in the door. She decided to investigate, despite seeing no one there.
When she reached the center of the room, she heard footsteps behind her, just before the door slammed. She ran up, only to see a transmutation circle appear on the door. It was sealed shut.
She pulled on it, trying desperately to open the door. She then pulled on the boards covering the windows, but they wouldn't budge. Her dog continued barking from outside, growling as well.
She searched for some other way out before she heard the sounds of explosions, coming from the back of the building. She kept trying to get the door open, thinking of any way to get out. Her alchemy had no use in this situation, and by the time she even thought about it, it was too late. The building was about to collapse, and she could hear people screaming outside due to the explosions. Ula kept trying to pry boards off the windows.
She froze in fear when she saw someone through the cracks of the boards covering a window towards the side of the building.
"I like to complete my jobs, and you being here messes that up for me," Kimblee said. Ula backed away, going towards the opposite wall. "Don't take it personally."

Her eyes opened slowly, looking around only to see boards and broken glass surrounding her. There was a ringing in her ears, and when she tried to move she only felt pain. Looking back she saw her legs trapped underneath the rubble. She tried pulling herself free, her hands and torso catching broken glass she she dragged her body out from under the rubble.
Even after freeing herself, she couldn't feel her legs. However, she decided to worry about that after catching someone's attention. She called for help, still pulling herself towards the street. Someone noticed, beckoning for assistance as they ran over. It was then that she noticed the blue uniform. She simply closed her eyes upon seeing it, thankful for the person coming to her aid.
