The knife in Nagito's hand glimmered in the pale moonlight, as I felt sweat suddenly drench my forehead. An endless stream of thoughts ran like a river, but my brain had been raising red flags since he had shown up. I should have known. My eyebrows furrowed as I tried to keep myself from panicking, but my legs felt like jelly.

"Ahh, isn't this island beautiful at night?" Nagito smirked, twisting the knife in his hands as he slowly inched closer to me. I was able to stay standing, moving back with each step he took towards me.

"What's your damage, Nagito? You have some sort of plan up your sleeve, it's obvious, but what the hell is it?" My sweaty hands, shelled into my gloves, curled up into fists as I reached for the foldable bow hidden in a secret pocket in my skirt, and its arrows were in its own seperate pocket. It was made special for me from my archery team. God, I can't wait to see them again.

"I thought it was obvious?" Nagito mimicked, "You can piece it together, Miss.Jay, you aren't as stupid as some people on this island." Although he's psycho, he's right, I could tell what he was going to do. My stomach twisted in knots and my heart was going millions of miles per hour.

"Now, [Y/N], how would you like to die? Just a single stab or a more torturous way of murder?" Nagito's eyes swirled with light and darkness, as if they were in some immense battle for dominance.

I tsked, "Not by your hands, that's how, you psycho." I grabbed the foldable bow and pulled it out of its pocket. I unfolded it, while grabbing the few arrows I had hidden in their pockets.

"You come to a battle prepared when you didn't even suspect it would occur, how impressive." He smiled kindly, even though we all knew he wasn't going to be kind at all, "I simply want hope to become stronger, nothing less, nothing more. If I must kill people for that to happen, I will."

"I'm not going to go down without a fight, I HAVE to live for my brother... for my friends!"

"I didn't expect any less coming from you. You seem very determined to get out of here without any more harm done, but you seem to be the perfect candidate to participate as the next step to a true hope. Archery is overrated either way."

"Don't you EVER say that again."

I aimed at Nagito's hand, holding the knife, and I swiftly shot it. He groaned in pain as the arrow pierced his skin, causing him to throw the knife at me unintentionally. I started to dodge it, but when I saw the clashing colors of yellow and pink behind me, I instantly dove forward to save him from the flying knife. As we collided to the floor, the knife cut my left shoulder slightly. I looked down at the male under me and quickly jumped up. No time for straddling the mechanic.

"Ahahahah.... just my luck.." Nagito grinned madly as he then waddled away, blood dripping from his hand, staining the stone path. I let out a sigh of relief before the pink haired boy started to bombard me with speech.

"H-Holy crap, Ms.Jay!" Souda cried, "You saved my life... I definitely won't forget this, thank you!" I chuckled as we made our way to the huts, making small talk as we go. I had grown pretty numb to pain, so my shoulder wasn't bothering me too much. As he dropped me off at my hut, Souda kept asking me about what happened.

"..Are you sure your shoulder's ok, Ms.Jay?"

"Kazoo, I said I was ok. Thanks for worrying, but I'll be sure to remember to tell everyone at breakfast what happened, even if it makes me look suspicious. We have to warn the others about Nagito, he's a ticking time bomb. Now, get some sleep, ok?"

He nodded, "Goodnight, Ms.Jay, thanks again!" Before running off to his own cabin. I flopped onto my own bed and soon enough, I fell into a deep sleep.

~timeskip to morning woo~

"Wakey wakey eggs and bakey! Its time for you misfits to get some grub! Hurry up before I starve you guys!" I groaned in response to Monokumas announcement, I didn't feel like waking up since i haven't had a decent night sleep since last night. I wanted to savior that sweet moment of comfort and relaxa--

"WAKE THE HELL UP SIS!" Jaxon barges in and pounces onto my bed, which caused me to yelp and flop onto the floor. I quickly got up and glared at Jax, he was grinning widely.

"What is it this time?" I rubbed my eyes before adjusting my gloves.

"New island, hello?" Jaxon said matter of factly, "C'mon, we have to round up a few more people before we get started. Head to breakfast." I sighed nodding my head when Jax left before doing my morning routine. I made my way to the dining hall when I was done. Kazoo Kid- erm, Souda, walked up to me almost instantly.

"Yo Jay! I got Nagito caught, Fuyuhiko and I put him in the party house." He put his hands behind his head and grinned. I raised an eyebrow.

"You locked him in there? How will he eat and such?"

"That's where you come in." Oh no.., "Can you please feed him breakfast? I want to head to the new island is all, I'll repay you for saving me and doing this! I swear on it!" I sighed as he handed me a bowl of cereal.

"It's whatever at this point. I know how to fend for myself." I nodded my head gently. Souda's eyebrows furrowed as he tugged on his beanie.

"Are you sure? Hajime's right over there, I'm sure he'll have no problem helping you." He winked and laughed, causing pink to dust over my cheeks. I shook my head no, but I guess he didn't care too much.

"Hajime! Escort Jay to Nagito, would you?" Before he could respond, he said, "Thanks bud! Cya guys at the second island. I sighed, holding a bowl of cereal.

"Hey, lets get going, alright?" Hajime smiled warmly and I nodded my head. From there, we had made our way to the old party house, and after that we would have to travel to the second island. More secrets were to come of this day, but all we could do now was wait for more to come.
