soonyoung woke up, he felt refreshed for once. he was ready to face the day.
he was feeling nervous but got through it and started getting dressed. he was hyper and couldn't contain himself.
he went downstairs and walked past his father, who was passed out drunk on the couch, and went to have breakfast in the kitchen. he didn't eat too much as the nerves were taking over but he didn't want to starve himself either.
he went out and took the bus as usual, nothing interesting happening on his way. he got off the bus a stop early and walked to the local florist.
he got her an amaryllis.
yes it wasn't the most romantic flower.
but he knew how much she would love it.
he continued on his journey to school and stopped when he reached the gates.
he took a deep breath.
he was going to go to dance club at lunch, tell her to meet him after school and then bam! tell her.
he walked into school and headed straight for his locker, he hid the flower and took out his books.
he saw soyeon down the hall at her locker, he waved and she happily waved back.
she was happy to see him and he was happy to see her.
the bell rang and ended their short moment.
he went to class and continued his day as usual.
although he felt like he had butterflies in his stomach.
but maybe stronger, butterflies were too soft.
he felt like he had moths in his stomach.
-
the ball finally rung for lunch and soonyoung ran out of class.
literally.
people were staring at him.
what a weirdo, they thought.
he entered the dance room and laid his bag down in the corner.
he got dressed in his usual clothing and started practicing.
the same dance he's been practicing for the past 2 months.
just because she liked it.
luckily for soonyoung, soyeon was the first one to enter the room after him.
he told her he wanted to tell her something after school, she was confused and wanted to question it but she decided not to, instead she just agreed and carried on as usual.
she happily watched as soonyoung practiced and as the group slowly started to come together.
they were all really happy and you could tell the boys had a passion for what they did.
-
the end of the day came fast and soonyoung, once again, rushed to his locker. he put his books away and stood, waiting for soyeon.
his hands were shaking and his heart was beating fast.
he then saw her.
in all her beauty soyeon was standing at her locker, putting her books away.
she looked to him and they made eye contact, she smiled and he returned the gesture.
she slowly made her way down as the halls of the school started clearing.
you would think this would make soonyoung more confident but no.
he was still going to shit himself.
his palms started getting sweaty as soyeon finally stood in front of him.
"hi soonyoung"
she smiled brightly at him.
he could barely contain himself."hey soyeon"
he replied, flashing his best smile at her."so what is it that you wanted to tell me?"
she questioned, not taking her eyes off soonyoung.he was about to speak but choked.
"i-i j-just really like-" he couldn't get it out of him.
all the confidence he previously had was gone, as if it was drained out of him.
he panicked, he couldn't tell her right now, not today, today just wasn't the right day.
"what do you really like soonyoung" she questioned, giggling at how nervous he was, having no idea why.
he couldn't tell her now. but what was he going to say??
"i really like your hair soyeon, it looked good today"
