jealousy (part one) ALTERNATE ENDING

soyeon

soyeon was walking down the halls to her locker. she couldn't wait to finally go home.

she opened her locker when suddenly mingyu called her from behind.

she didn't notice the letter fall out of her locker.

"hey you dropped something!" mingyu called out as he leant down to pick up the letter off the ground.

confused, she slowly opened it as mingyu watched next to her.

tears, brimming in her eyes as she read it carefully.

"what's wrong?" mingyu questioned her.

soyeon told him she'd text him later as she ran out the school building as fast as she could.

he wanted to meet her at their ice cream parlour.

she ran all the way and was breathing heavily when she arrived.

soonyoung was waiting outside, sitting at one of the tables, fiddling around with his promise ring.

she approached him and immediately knew something was wrong.

soonyoung didn't look happy and bubbly as usual but more sad and upset by something?

she sat down in front of him and smiled.

"are you okay soonyoung?" she questioned. her concern grew when he didn't reply. he was the one who brought her here, doesn't she have the right to know why he's upset?

she asked again.

no reply.

she stood up and was ready to leave, she didn't run all the way for soonyoung to dismiss her like this.

suddenly he shot up and started talking.

"in what ways is he better than me?" soonyoung questioned.

soyeon didn't understand what he meant. who was he talking about?

she stared at him, dumbfounded.

"don't play dumb with me soyeon!"

"i saw you with mingyu earlier!"

"is it because he's tall?"

soonyoung was bombarding soyeon with questions until she finally interrupted him.

"why are you so concerned with mingyu and i hanging out? I wasn't cheating on you, you idiot!" she spat back.

she was so tired of it.

soonyoung's insecurities has gotten the better of him even after soyeon constantly reassured him.

"then why were you hugging him and calling him oppa! im not stupid soyeon, you clearly don't love me" he said, his voice faltering slightly at the end of his sentence.

soyeon was on the brink of tears.

"soonyoung you need to stop being so jealous and insecure because of every guy i hang out with! do you know why I was hugging mingyu and calling him oppa? because he's my cousin you dumbass! next time you try to accuse me of something at least get your facts straight, now stop being so goddamn insecure about our relationship because I clearly love you and no one else" soyeon shouted, gaining attention from people around them.

soonyoung was.

he was.

happy.

"t-t-that's the first time you've ever said that you love me" soonyoung proclaimed.

"i guess so" soyeon replied, her eyes brimming with tears

"are we just supposed to pretend like it's no big deal?" soonyoung said, he too was almost about to cry.

"im gonna go because we both know that if you start crying I will start crying and then we'll both be here crying" soyeon exclaimed, as she ran away.
