"So, you just pushed Lucas into a room and started vilontely making out?" Kaelyn says, "Sly, Veronica, very sly." She rolls her eyes.

"So help me!" I demand, "Are we like dating now?"

"Well yeah, I guess?" she says.

"I gotta go."

I walk down the silent hall towards the chasm of Dauntless Headquarters. I hear footsteps and immediately spin around. "Lucas? I'm so sorry!---"

"Veronica, its fine okay? I screwed up, guys like this do things like that when they're in love. I love you Veronica." I run up to him and kiss him on the lips. "So," I say, "does that mean that you're my boyfriend?" I ask.

"Yes, Of course." he replies, kissing me roughly.

*********

I walk slowly and calmly towards the dinig hall, Lucas trailing quietly behind me. "Don't tell anyone about our make out session, OK?" He nods. I giggle and quickly peck him on the lips. His fingers intwine with mine, and I don't mind. His lips slide down my neck. "Lucas!" I sort of yell sarcastically. We both laugh. "OK. Let's just get to the dining hall, capish?" He nods, smiling. We walk into the dinig hall, us still holding hands, but nobody notices. We kiss. Still, nobody notices. I sit with Kaelyn and some other girls.

"So," one of the Erudite girls asks, "who's the hottie?" Her eyes trailing Lucas. "Oh, he's my boyfriend!" I reply with one of those he's-mine-so-back-off smiles. She rolls her eyes and continues eating he soup. When we have all finished eating,we make our way back to our dorms, Lucas and I bash through the door, kissing roughly. I laugh in between kisses, and so does he.

"Ah, guys?" Someone says. We both turn around casually, fixing up our hair and clothes. "Can we crash here?" An Erudite boy, two Amity girls, and Kaelyn stand in the doorway. "Yeah, but you guys have got to give us our privacy." says Lucas, holding my hand while I look at the wall. "Yeah, whatever fine, just no..... you know what I mean." "Oh no we wouldn't!" Lucas and I say at the same time. The snotty Erudite boy laughs. "Good." he props himself on a bed near our double. "Let me guess," he says, "yours?" I nod.
