I walked out of the castle happy and as proud as ever. Khristy didn't REALLY believe that I bought all that stuff, did she? I've heard WAY better stories than that. Besides, Khristy isn't the BEST liar. But all I could do was focus on finding Dad. "Um, where's the temple?" I asked the librarian at my school. "Can't you see? It's the giant building right in front of us!" she scolded. "Well sor-ry!" I said. The librarian was known for scolding, fussing, and downright annoying everyone she met. I headed behind the temple. "Dad? DAD!" I yelled. A man in a hut shaped shed came out. It was- "Dad!" I said. I ran to him and hugged him. Tears came down my face. "I missed you." "Who are you?" he snapped. He peeled my body off of him and glared at me. "I never had a kid."  "Do you remember Julissa? Julissa Kemp. My mother. The one you married." I said. "Nope, doesn't ring a bell." he said. I was hurt. I was really hurt. Who in their right mind would take Dad out of jail, and then make him play a character that means he won't remember me? "Well um, I missed you." I said. "Yeah. Whatever kid. Go to your mom, this Julissa chick you're talking about." he said. "Okay," I said.

After that, I didn't feel like staying in town. So I left. Through the woods and the trees and back to Hoppersville. Leaving Elmore. As soon as I saw a sign that said: Welcome to Hoppersville! Enjoy your stay!, I saw a light. A light that I only saw when a part of my body crossed the line. This is NOT happening. Is what Khristy said really true? Or Rose? Or, whoever the heck she was? I took in a deep brath and crossed my whole body over the line. I saw a blinding light cross over the trees. I stumbled back knocking into a tree. I looked up and there were carvings that read: Savior. Okay, that was creepy. Since I was so creeped out, I ran out of those woods and back to my house. "Ingrid! Ingrid! I'm going to explain why I'm late later, but now I have to tell you something!" I called. "Ingrid!" My stepmother walked down the stairs in a robe and slippers. Kenny trailed behind her. "Why are you late? I kept calling for you and you never came. How did your father tolerate such foolishness and stupidity?" she asked. "I-" I said. "Shut up. Get yourself upstairs and stay in your room until dinner." she said. "You will NOT be late in this house again." I was feeling even more miserable. "Kenny?" I asked. "Sorry, Cass. I have to follow mom's orders." he said. "She's the law." "Mom? Since when did you start calling INGRID, MOM?" I asked. "Ever since she replaced mom." Kenny replied. "Replaced MOM?" my eyes were stinging with tears. "No one will EVER replace my mother." I said. "Excuse me?" Ingrid asked. "I am your mother now. You shall adress me like it." "Yes mother," I replied, and trudged upstairs.
