I left that shop with my head down. "I can't do anything," I said. "Yes, you can," Rose put her hands on my shoulders. "You might have a lot to learn, a WHOLE lot to learn," I looked at her, annoyed. She cleared her throat. "but you can do this. You're the Savior. You'll always find a way." For some reason, after Rose said that, I became hopeful again. She has that way of talking that makes you rethink things. That's one thing Khristy NEVER had. "Stay here for the night. It'll be much better than staying with Ingrid." Rose said. Ingrid! I forgot about that witch. Maybe I should stay here. One way or another, she was going to kill me. So it didn't matter if I went home today, or tomorrow, or in a week. I'm sure she wouldn't miss me. Rose and I kept walking until we got back to the palace. "So, where's your mom?" I asked. "My mother is a hunter. She trusts Snow White to take care of me while she's out there." Rose said. "When was the last time you saw her?" I asked. "Maybe a few months ago." Rose said. "Where does she live? We're going to go see her." I said. "For what?" Rose asked. "For you," I replied. "I have no choice to go on with life without my mom, but there is no reason of why you should have to." "Now when will we have time to go see her?" she asked. "How about now?" I asked. Rose rolled her eyes. "Okay," she said. "But I lead the way." She grabbed my hand and took off towards the woods. "Be careful, my mother isn't the nicest of people. Especially when it comes to new people." We kept walking in silence. I could tell Rose was excited to see her mother. The way she kept fidgeting and rubbing her hands-I could tell.
We were almost there when- bump! Rose's body fell to the ground. "ROSE!!" I screamed. I was freaking out. My heart was pumping when I turned her over and found an arrow in her chest and a puddle of blood on her shirt. "ROSE!!" I was scared, and sobbing. My only friend in Elmore-gone. "Rose?!!" I screamed and shook her. "ROSE!!!" My body fell to the ground. I was sobbing. I held Rose's body close to me. I saw a shadow and heard a voice. "One down, and a whole town to go," I looked up. "INGRID!!" I wanted to rip her dirty little shriveled up heart out. I slapped her. "What have you done!!" "If I were you, I wouldn't have just done that," she said and swung back at me. I fell beside Rose. "Besides, she's dead. She won't come back; and once I kill you, it'll be easier for all of us," She held her bow to my chest. "Kill me," I said. "I'll be with her." My cheeks were stained from tears. Ingrid had a dirty look in her eye. She slowly lowered her bow, and took out a dagger and held it to my neck. "If I kill you now, the whole universe will be destroyed and my work will be done. But if I spare you, you will live without her," Ingrid pointed her dagger at Rose. "And she can no longer tell you what to do, which means you will fail at stopping the Dark Force. Either way it's a win-win." I narrowed my eyes. Ingrid thought and lowered her dagger. "Get!" she said. "Run with her, and don't ever look back," I ran, lifted Rose, and ran back to Elmore. "Hospital! I need a hospital!" I yelled in the village. "Oh no! Is she going to be alright?" people asked. "No, I replied. She's already dead,"
