KIITANA
There was a man standing in front of the back door, refraining people from entering.
I had to admit, I was pretty intimidated by how he looked with the mug expression on his face, along with his bulky stature. Fortunately, my worries had whisked away the moment Imani did a handshake with him, which led to a friendly hug. As soon as they pulled away from each other, he had finally noticed me, giving Mani a questionable look.
"It's alright, Jones. She's with me. My brother already in here, right?" She spoke, hooking her arm around mine in a friendly matter.
"Yeah, him and his boys just made it through not too long ago. Y'all take care."
And with that, he moved to the side to let the both of us in, and I was taken back by the various scents that were floating around this place. I wasn't even sure if I even want to know what is it that people do in her besides watch the performances.
With Imani by my side, I felt a little comfort, but I still felt a bit out of place. Like, you know that feeling you get when you transfer to a new school in the middle of the school year?
Yeah, that's exactly how I felt.
It wasn't long until we've entered into a room full of guys and a few girls that were all up on them.
Groupies.
Mani led me over to a guy was a few tattoos on his face, but if you'd look pass all of that, you would notice their resemblance.
So, this is Ski, huh?
He had stood up from where he sat, shoving the girl that was all in his face off of him as he pulled his sister into a heartfelt hug.
Right then and there I knew that they were very close.
That's sweet.
"I'm glad that you've showed up, I was starting to worry about you."
"What do you mean? I wouldn't miss it for the world, especially when it's that new shit you just dropped."
I was taken back by her sudden language, she kept it PG around me, but I guess it was because I never really spoke like that.
Moving from the hug to ask how each other's day was, I paid attention to their features all together.
Even if they wanted to, they couldn't deny each other at all. They were a split image of each other; however, she was slightly shorter, lighter skin tone and no tattoos on her face.
I guess I was too caught up in my thoughts that I didn't know that she had brought me up into conversation, until she nudged me a little.
"Kitty, you alright?" Imani asked as she raised up an eyebrow.
"Kitty? Wha- Yeah, I was just thinking, is all. What's up?" I jumbled all my words, fidgeting my fingers together as I was embarrassed a little.
She snickered a little before she introduced, "This is my brother, Ski. Ski, this is my friend, Kiitana."
I smiled sheepishly, giving him a small wave , "Hi, nice to meet you."
In return he gave me a nod, "Pleasure. Any friend of my sister, is a friend of mine."
"Where's X at?" Mani asked suddenly, catching my attention right then and there.
I kinda wanted to know what he looks like, and if maybe he's living up to his name, y'know? Unless it's an abbreviation for something else.
I have so much to learn.
"He should be back right now, he just went to get something out the car a while ago."
Right when he said that, a guy had came in with an eye catching hairstyle with it being two color tones.
One side was blonde, while the other was pitch black followed by a few tattoos scattered on his face. In addition, his neck had ink on it as well, but it was shield by a chocker he had on. His built was a lean one, but you could tell he works out based on his sculpted he looked from the small distance.
I don't know why, but there was something about him that was intoxicating, and just had me fully drawn to him.
Maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me or something.
Yeah, that's what it is.
"Yo, X, over here." Ski said casually, motioning for the guy to come over here.
Oh, so that's X.
Seeing him up close, I can get a good sight of what the tattoos are, but I didn't want to get caught staring, so I just averted my sight over to the side to avoid from doing so.
I couldn't help but feel that I was being watched, though. And that made me to look up at X, and saw that he was already looking at me with an unreadable expression on his face.
"X, this is Kiitana, Mani's home girl." Ski had brought up, yet X didn't say anything.
Just stared at me.
And I stared right back in awe.
I was the one that had torn the eye contact, feeling my face ache as I smiled quite harder than I should be, biting down on my bottom lip as I looked down.
"Ooo, let me find out." Imani whispered to me, causing me to give her a playful glare.
We haven't said not a word to each other, yet she's already claiming that we're interested in each other romantically already. Knowing that he's a rapper, there's a possibility that his living up to the typical lifestyle of just girls, money and drugs.
But I've always lived by the idea of never judging a book by its cover, so I'm open to see what he's all about.
Lord bless that everything turns out as planned.
