Harry’s POV: (8:02 A.M.)
“Baby, c’mon, baby. Wake up. Wake up!” I heard my mum murmur into my hand. Noticing that it was slightly moist, I realized she also cried a bit. What did I do to deserve her tears? I don’t remember anything after... well after my audition at X Factor. Still, nonetheless, I felt responsible for comforting my mum.
“Hey, mum, I’m alright! Dunno what happened, but I’m good. I feel good at least.” My words jolted my mum’s head up.
“Thank God you’re alright,” she breathed. “Gemma, go get the doctor.” I heard Gemma hurry out the door anxiously. Mum grabbed my head and kissed it. I winced when her hand grazed the back of my head. “Oh, yeah, the bump. What happened?”
“I don’t remember,” I admitted, trying so hard to remember, like there was something really important in those memories.
“Well, what do you remember, Mr. Styles?” a nice looking middle-aged doctor asked. Her eyes crinkled and her lips were turned up. I felt relaxed around her.
“Well, I... went to a cafe off a ways from the X Factor building. And I left and bumped into this girl,” I recalled.
“And do you remember what she looked like?” the doctor prompted.
“No, well.” I paused. I only remembered one thing. “Her eyes. They were... purple. Isn’t that a strange color?” The doctor didn’t reply for a while, deep in thought. I looked up and saw a deep sadness in her eyes.
“Dr. Gamez? Is there something wrong?” my mum asked hesitantly. Dr. Gamez looked up and smiled, as if nothing happened.
“No, no. Just thinking about your description. It’s... nearly impossible to have purple eyes.”
"So, you think I won't be able to find this girl because she was wearing contacts or something?" I asked, my hopes plummeting. The doctor nodded, avoiding my piercing blue green eyes. Hey, I have that power too, ya know.
"But that isn't important or anything. What's important is how you got that nasty bump on your head. Care to explain?" my mum cut in, her eyes glaring at me to drop the subject of the girl.
"Well, you did have a concussion for about fourteen hours. Dunno what could have happened." I sat up in bed, alarmed.
"Fourteen hours! That's impossible... I don't feel any different. 'Cept maybe after the audition. I remember... a bicycle. Suppose a bicycle can give me a concussion, right Doc?"
"Of course. Depending on the circumstances you could have been in a coma. Now you should just stay for a few hours so there are no aftereffects and we can give you a few tests to test your physical abilities." My mum nodded in agreement.
"What about Boot Camp? I probably missed that!" I complained, my mind churning. Oh, no. I got into Boot Camp and now I missed it. I just missed a chance of a lifetime because of a stupid bike.
"Shut up, you ninny. Boot Camp is in like a few weeks after ALL the auditions. They gave us the info packet after you went off to find that girl you were ogling on the stage," Gemma explained, ruffling my hair. A girl... I don't remember any girl. But I guess that was because of the concussion.
"Well." I stood up from the hospital bed. "Let's get those tests on, shall we?"
