Liam’s P.O.V.: (9:04 A.M.)
I made my way back down the metal stairs after talking to Robby, the lighting guy.
“Lili, he won’t listen to me,” I said, scratching my head. “I’m sorry.”
“Keep company with me. Something’s going to happen.” Lili’s voice started quivering and she breathed unsteadily. Sympathy overflowed me, but I knew Lili wouldn’t want me to do anything. She was too strong for any help offered by someone like me.
“If it’s going to be that bad Lili, then we gotta stop him,” I finally said. She shook her head.
“I don’t wanna cause a scene. I’ll just wait here. Go off to make up.” She was staring down, off in her own world. I gave her one last look, but finally followed her words.
As I walked down the hall, my makeup artist, Emily, fell into step with me. Her short five foot stature met my torso at my five foot ten inch height. She had on her usual attire: bright green tights, neon knee-high converse, and dark blue denim overalls shorts. Her hair was dyed a bold scarlet, tied up in a messy ponytail. Typical Emily.
“How’s it been Liam? Haven’t seen ya in a week,” Emily said cheerily. She gave me a side hug and led me into a changing room. “You know, Lili, right?”
“You met her already?” I turned to her, in shock.
“Yeah, she brought up the idea that we change your styles a bit so you don’t look as usual. I totally agreed, but Will had to go on board because she had another idea.”
“And what was that?”
“Switch the solos around. Give Louis and Niall the main solos and have you and Harry take their roles. I thought it was brilliant because Lili told me she heard Louis complaining about it yesterday.” I pondered the idea. Niall and Louis getting more solos was a delicate topic. Harry had already complained to Will about it when the album first came out. It would be a big change. But a great change.
“It is brilliant!” I agreed. Emily handed me a different set of clothes than what I usually wore: a Niall Horan worthy purple polo and blue jeans and boots only Harry Styles could have pulled off. “But did Will agree on it?” Emily waited for me to walk inside the changing room before bursting the silence bubble.
“Course he did! That’s why a recording crew could come in: to tape the entire thing!” A person came into the room, whistling. “We were just talking about you!” she addressed the newcomer.
I finished lacing the boots up and pulled open the curtain. Louis continued whistling, and he too was wearing a different style of clothing. A Zayn trademark purple letterman jacket and... his hair was getting styled into a quiff by Emily.
“Vas happenin?” I yelled in mock outrage. Louis grinned, showing off his new outfit. “But the quiff isn’t working.” I frowned, picking up a pencil and attempting to probe the loose hair.
“Don’t touch the hair!” Louis exclaimed. A loud sound echoed down the hall. What was that? Louis echoed my thoughts aloud right when Zayn came running in. He had on a Louis signature: purple braces, striped tee, and the TOMS. I was catching onto a pattern with our attire.
“Lili’s hurt... Harry’s got a concussion... Peace is bleeding... Come,” Zayn gasped, tears quickly running down his face. We all stood up and followed him.
When we reached the stage area again, there was a tight circle forming around the middle of it. There was a lot of talking, but Jill’s voice quieted them all.
