[soojin's pov:]
on the monday morning, we had free class period to do whatever since there was only a substitute in replace of our homeroom teacher. so i decided to go to the music, hopefully hoping he was probably there.
as i approached the music room door, i didn't bother knocking as i entered in on my own account. sleeping in the small corner in the back of the room was yoongi. i turned on the lights and walked over to him as i slightly kicked at his leg.
"yah, wake up grandpa," i said to him.
a small groan escaped his lips as he shifted onto his side giving me a look.
"we have a free period today in my homeroom class," i told him.
"and i need to know why?" he asked slightly annoyed. i shrugged. "teach me how to play piano," i said before smiling innocently at him. another groan came out of him as he shifted his body, his back now facing me.
"yahhhhhh! c'mon."
almost irritated, he sat up quickly and stared at me. slowly, he got onto his feet. "why do you come here into this room whenever you please?" he asked as he looked down at me. i practically felt like a midget.
"because i can," i simply said. "what's it going to take for you stop bothering me? you always end up coming to this room."
"well... i'm sorry if i am bothering you. i didn't mean to. it's just..."
i didn't bother finishing as i brought myself to stare into his eyes. we were surprisingly just a few inches away from each other. a few inches more and our lips would practically be touching. gulping quietly, i licked my lips.
"s-sorry. i'll just stop coming here... and i'll find another room, i guess," i softly said. he stared right at me and shook his head as he let out a sigh.
"well?..." he asked. i raised an eyebrow at him, "well what?"
"what do you want to learn? you said you want me to teach you piano."
a wide smile grew on my face as i looked at him, "really? you'll actually teach me?"
"if you pay me, of course." my smile turned into a frown in a quick instant. "how rude."
yoongi shook is head, letting out a small chuckle. "i'm kidding," he said as he made he way over to the piano bench and sat down on it. i watched as he left a bit of space next to him. he looked at me waiting for me to sit, so i walked over to him and sat down next to him.
he had pulled out a music piece out from his backpack and then placed it on top of the piano making sure all four pages could fit.
"err, this looks complicated," i softly said as i stared at the notes, studying them like they were some experiment. "i know."
i sat back and adjusted myself when suddenly, he took the initiative to place his fingers onto the piano first and started to play what was written on the music. my eyes looked at him in awe as he started playing. everything was there, the emotion, the feeling. i sat there quietly just listening.
soon, he ended the piece in a beautiful manner. i looked at him and chuckled slightly, "wah, such a show off." his face scrunched up slightly as he gave a roll of his eyes. "at least i can play. what can you do?" he asked.
i thought for moment. "oh! i can play the recorder (it's somewhat like a flute, but maybe not(?))," i grinned.
way to go soojin. *facepalm*
"the recorder?" he gave a small scoff. "yes, the recorder. yah, don't make fun of me."
"oh, no, i'm totally not making fun of you," he smirked, "loser."
i punched his arm lightly when he winced in pain, "yah! ahjumma, quite hitting me."
"ahjumma?! how dare you!" i gasped. a smirked plastered on his face when the bell suddenly rang for lunch.
i stood up quickly and swung my backpack onto my shoulder. looking over at him, i saw as he was stacking all his papers and putting them away into his backpack.
"um, well, i guess see you later?" i asked him. "yeah, sure, sure," he said giving a wave of his hand. i shook my head and went ahead first to the cafeteria. many of the students pilled in the place as i struggled to get in line and get some food.
once i got out of line, i looked around the cafeteria and luckily, i found an empty table to sit at. i sat down quickly and dug into my food when suddenly, someone sat in front of me. looking up, i saw it was no other than kang seoyul.
she gave a smirk at me, "where's your boyfriend, huh? not eating lunch with you?" she snickered. i didn't say anything. looking away, i lowered my head down as i continued eating my lunch.
"yah, i'm talking to you, you piece of crap."
"you know you shouldn't say things you might regret," a voice suddenly said out of nowhere.
both seoyul and my eyes look to the side as i saw yoongi standing there with his backpack swung cooly over his shoulder. the fringes of his hair continued to slightly cover his eyes as he stared at seoyul. a grin slowly grow onto seoyul's face and she got up to her feet and stood in front of him.
i swallowed the chewed up food in my mouth as i slowly stood up behind them.
"this is just perfect," she chuckled, "yoongi, the guy who tries to hold a tough image when really he's just getting beaten down by his father with no mother at all." she gave a slight pause and looks at me, "and soojin here with no father and a mother who works on the street food markets."
i stared at her in disgust. "you're so full of yourself. why can't you just learn to stop?"
"i don't need anyone to tell me what to do. i'll stop when i want to stop, so shut your mouth."
but before i could say anything, yoongi had walked to my side but then past me as he picked up my trash and threw it away. i was about to open my mouth when he suddenly took hold of my wrist and pulled me along with him.
"h-hey, what are you doing?" i asked stuttering slightly.
"getting you out of trouble."
