[soojin's pov:]
back at class, i sat behind my desk reading the inside of my textbook when all of a sudden someone closed my book shut. i looked up to see seoyul smirking at me.
"you wouldn't mind letting me borrow some money, would you?" she asked ever so innocently. her friends snickered behind her as i sat there blinking a few times.
"i don't have any money for you take," i said sternly.
"is soojin lying to me now? why would she ever? she's too nice to do that," seoyul whined cutely. i slightly gagged by the way she was acting, but i didn't budge. i only looked at seoyul. the cute pouting expression she once had suddenly turned into a deadly stare as she gazed at me.
"girls."
but before i could tell her to stop, one of the two girls behind her came up to me and grabbed my backpack with much force.
"yah! you can't take that!" i yelled at them. one of the girls grabbed at my shoulder and roughly pushed me down back into my seat when i tries standing up to get it back. the girls who had my backpack, then, had unzipped all the pockets and flipped in upside down. all my my papers, pens, and journals fell out and poured out to the ground.
the rest of the students watched in silence as no one dared to help me.
just then, seoyul went over to the girls and in her hand, she picked up my wallet that had fell on the floor. a smirk plastered on her face all of a sudden. i couldn't just sit here and watch her do this to me. standing up to my feet, i managed to say some words.
"give it back. you're stealing what is rightfully mine," i told her.
but that didn't stop her as she unzipped my wallet and slowly searched through it when she gasped slightly and met eyes with me. that's when she pulled out a few of the cash i had and then smiled as she started to zip back my wallet.
i was about to lunge at her when one of her friends suddenly pulled at my hair, and then pushed me to the ground. i ended up falling onto my butt as i winced in pain.
seoyul threw my wallet to the ground along with all my other belongings scattered on the floor.
"thanks soojin! you're so nice," she cooed innocently.
everyone in the class silently watched as seoyul and her friends left me. i quietly sat there and felt my face turn warm. blinking a few times, i tried my best to keep a straight face. but i couldn't help it.
jumping up onto my feet, i ran out the classroom and ran off to the restrooms. and then i quickly ran into the last stall, locking myself in there as the tears slid down my cheeks. i know i'm suppose to be strong, but how i be strong when she constantly tries to put me down?
i hate this school. i hate everyone...
[yoongi's pov:]
"yoongi hyung. are you going to the formal dance with anyone next week?" taehyung asked me as he leaned across his desk to talk to me.
"yah, of course he's going alone. soloist only," hoseok chuckled as he twirled a pencil around in his fingers. i sighed softly as scratched the back of my neck.
"i don't know if i even want to go anymore..."
"no, you should go. it'll be fun. plus, it's our last formal dance before we graduate," namjoon said.
i sat there thinking to myself.
"why don't you take soojin as your partner?" taehyung suddenly ask.
"yahhhhhhhh. taehyungie's right. you two have been spending a lot of time together," hoseok mocked.
"it's nothing like that! we're just.... friends," i softly said.
"friends. but you both could be more than friends," namjoon said wiggling his eyebrows.
"go with soojin," taehyung softly said to me.
is it worth it? should i ask her? will she say yes? wait, does she even want to go?
"does she want to go?" i asked taehyung.
"last time i heard, i think she's going."
i sat there a few seconds thinking to myself.
"yah, just ask her, you git," hoseok said running his fingers through his hair.
i think i will.
"alright. i'll ask her. question is... how?"
