The nearly empty bus chugged on for what seemed to be an eternity. Finally, it pulled to a screeching halt in front of a familiar alleyway. I stumbled tiredly off the hunk of metal. Well fuck. Do I walk the whole twenty five minutes or cut it down and walk through the dark alley. I'm taking the alley. Anybody messes with me gets knocked the fuck out I'm too tired and angry for this shit. I stood up tall and began to walk though the alley. A trio of guys stood smoking near a wall. They recognized me. "Hey," called the leader, "it's that goodie two shoes mall cop chick. You think you're so tough eh? You survived a murder attempt, so strong." They all laughed. I laughed once, the word heavy with sarcasm, "Ha." They blinked. "A-are you mocking me," the leader asked. "No I'm just pissed off, out of my way," I told him. "No," he smirked. I let my face fall flat, and stared him dead in the eye. "Get out of my way," the tone of my voice only barely hinted at the danger in my statement. The color seemed to drain from their faces, they stepped quickly to the side. I finished my walk home without incident. Once safely inside my home, I wandered to the kitchen to eat something before bed. A folded piece of paper was taped to the fridge. I'll read it then eat. I don't have to wake up early for anything. I pulled it off the fridge, opening it to be greeted with the now familiar handwriting of my "admirer".
Hello, darling
I'm so happy, that bastard is getting what he deserves! You did wonderfully, even through those scums questions. I left you two surprises, one in the fridge, the other in your room. I hope you like them. You are more amazing than I ever could have dreamed.
Love you, Admirer.
Well, shortish and to the point. I'll check the bedroom surprise first. I swear if they are the surprise in my room I'm going to jail for murder. I dragged myself upstairs and pushed open the door. My eyes tiredly scanned the room. A vase of sunflowers sat on my dresser. Nice, actually. Like it. Pajamas then food. Done with these clothes. I pulled my pajamas out and shuffled into the bathroom. I changed quickly, leaving my clothes in a pile on the floor. I walked back down to the kitchen and tugged the fridge open. A bag from Blizzard Burgers sat waiting for me. That's nice. And perfect actually. I pulled it out, pushing the fridge closed again. I opened the bag and pulled out a fry carton and a wrapped burger. I set them on the table, and unwrapped the burger. It was my normal order. They know me well. I ate the cold burger and fries, I didn't mind the temperature. I should thank them. But how. Wait. Oh. How stupid am I? I'll write them a note, but where to place it. I'll tape it to the sunflower vase. I'm sure they'll notice it there. I threw away my trash and headed upstairs to my study. Pulling out a sheet of printer paper and a pencil I slid into the chair in front of my desk. Nothing. Damn it writers block. Uh. Just write who cares if it's good. I do. No I don't. Argh. Write.
Dear, admirer
Thank you for the food and flowers, they were just what I needed after today. I must ask, how did you know sunflowers were my favorite? I think that would be harder to figure out than my fast food preferences. I'll admit that I was trying to figure out who you were the night I tackled you. I didn't get much. You are a guy (I think) and tall. That's it. It feels weird knowing that I have a stalker. I know nothing about you, and you know so much about me. Willing to share any personal details?

Uhhhh I read over my chicken scratch handwriting over and over. Good enough. Where's the tape? I grabbed a piece of tape and walked to my room. Folding the paper a few times I taped it to the surface of the vase. I stared at it for a few moments, debating my decision. I left it there. I stalked down the stairs one last time. Doing my nightly door, window, and light check. I checked the upstairs, and finally flopped into bed. The darkness of the night consuming my senses, as I fell asleep.

Something woke me up, half asleep I attempted to figure out what it was. Soft footfalls padded up to me. Come on guys it's really early let me sleep. A soft annoyed whine left my lips as I curled into my blankets. A hand tousled my short hair. I grumbled at them incoherently. The hand disappeared and a soft chuckle hit my ears. The footsteps padded away. I felt myself falling back into dreamland. I had one single coherent thought before I drifted away again. I don't have roommates anymore.
