Something unexpected

Chapter thirteen

"Hugo if you let that bludger get close to Teddy again then we're going to have a problem!" Uncle Ron yells at his son as he hits a bludger himself.
Albus watches as his boyfriend flys on his broom chasing the golden snitch around their quidditch field.
Albus watches as James blocks the hoop from Aunt Angie's attempted score. James does a quick backflip on his broom and shouts triumphantly. Albus shakes his head while laughing and then looks over at Lucy as she fixes her mesh heart tights. "I do hope Nikoli's team wins,"Lucy tells Albus. "I think Uncle Harry likes the competition,"she laughs as she watches Harry reach for the snitch.
Ginny catches the quiffle from Roxy and heads towards Lily who waits confidently by her goal hoops. Hugo hits the bludger towards Ginny but he dodged it. Albus looks over at his Aunt Hermione as she watches Ron's every move, making sure he doesn't get hurt...again.
"Ronald," she gasps as he was close to getting hit with the bludger.
Albus chuckles to himself before cheering on Nikoli as he inches his way further to the golden snitch. Aunt Ginny throws the quiffle towards the far left hoop and Lily struggles to reach it in time.
"10 points to Team Potter!!!!" James cries as he roots on his mom.
"Uncle Harry should catch it in his mouth again," Victorie laughs as she watches Harry and Nikoli race to get the snitch.

"MERLINS BEARD TO THINK BULGARIA WANTS YOU," Fred shouts at Nikoli.
Albus watches his dad hold up the golden snitch. And Nikoli shrugs his shoulders looking at Albus. Flying down he flips his hair out of his face and then high fives Harry.
"Well done,"Albus claps his hands slowly making fun of his boyfriend for losing.
"Shut up," Nikoli laughs as he kisses Albus on the cheek. Albus looks around to make sure no one saw what Nikoli had done and Nikoli laughed,"I doubt your dad or mum will care."
Albus blushes while looking around and then fixes his hair. Ginny takes off her knee pads and then heads towards the manor.
"Tell me Nikoli how does it feel to be...second best?" James laughs as he runs his hands through his dark auburn hair and then jokingly punches his shoulders.
"I don't know usually you're in that position "Nikoli jokes. James raises his eyebrows and Albus laughs loud at the face James makes.

"Potter-Weasley family dinner is ready!" Aunt Hermione shouts as she hangs up her apron. Her fluffy hair was tied up in a bun and she wiped sweat from her forehead as she set her dish on the table.
Aunt Angie silky brown hair was braided and put to the side. Albus loved his Aunt Angie, he thought she was the prettiest. Her ebony skin was always flawless and beautiful to look at and she had warm chocolate brown eyes that complimented his Uncle George's light hazel eyes.
Ginny sat next to Victorie and Louis. Louis was picking at the vegetables on his plate while watching Teddy devour his food. James threw a piece of bread at Fred who instantly threw a piece back. Roxy was talking to her Aunt Hermione about feminism and her and her girl gang.
Rose sat next to Lily as Lily lowly argued to Rose about something irrelevant, like always. Hugo was talking to his Uncle Bill about how he wants to be doing something involving magical creatures and how he helps Hagrid with his duties. Albus bumps Nikoli on the shoulder catching his attention and smiles at him softly. "Do you like the food?" Albus asks as he watches Nikoli eat the remaining food on his plate.
"Wow Nikoli you really wolfed down your food,"James smiled at his pun as he drank some of his water.
"James,"Ginny says through her gritted teeth,"treat Albus's guest with respect."
"Mum he's not a guest...it's Nikoli,"James laughs.
Nikoli nods his head,"it's okay Mrs. Potter. I'll get him back. But your skinned potatoes are splendid,"he compliments her cooking.
"Thank you Nikoli,"Ginny smiles at Albus's boyfriend and then asks,"do you have any plans since you've graduated?"
"I got offered a seeker position for Bulgaria and Brazil in the fall and I have till August to decide where I'll be playing,"Nikoli tells Ginny.
"Professional Quidditch?" Ginny nods her head in approval. "I was a professional quidditch player as well,"she brags with a kind smile on her face.
"I know,"Nikoli grins,"you've got the highest record on goals scored."
Ginny shrugs modestly,"professional quidditch was excellent. And if you really excel in it you'll be set for the rest of your life." Nikoli nods his head while he cuts up some of the roasted chicken.
"Do you know what team you want to sign with?" Harry asks as he pushes his glasses up.
"I haven't decided yet. Al wants me to sign to Brazil,"Nikoli tells them and he watches as Harry laughs a little,"and Teddy wants me to sign to Bulgaria."
"Bulgaria is an excellent team,"Harry says.
"Don't listen to him,"Albus smiles at his dad,"he's a bit biased on the situation."
"Aren't you? Isn't Brazil your favorite team?" Harry laughs at his sons statement.
Albus rolls his eyes and then says, feeling confident, "well he is my boyfriend."
James looks around the table waiting for a reaction from someone; anyone. The table grows silent and Ginny smiles softly at Albus and Nikoli. Ron looks over at Hermione and Hermione smiles a little, already knowing because Rose had told her.
Nikoli looks around the table and then squeezes Albus's hand reassuring him everything is okay. Fred looks around and then says lowly, "you think since he's your boyfriend he'd know not to listen to you about quidditch teams."
James and Fred laugh wildly as Albus throws a piece of bread at them. Nikoli laughs loudly along with Harry. Albus couldn't help but wonder as to why the whole table grew quiet. His parents knew about it.

Rose rolls her eyes as she plays with Albus's camera. Albus and Nikoli sit on his bed. Albus lays his head on Nikoli's shoulder and sighs.
"Honestly Al," Rose says,"just talk to Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny."
"Talk to them?!" Albus laughs at he suggestion.
"Yes talk to them!" Rose says now standing up.
"Albie is not a bad idea. I doubt they think any of it,"Nikoli smiles,"your father wasn't concerned when you told him of me being a were wolf. Why should he be concerned now?"
"You haven't met my father,"Albus rolls his eyes. "Me and him...we don't...we don't connect."
Nikoli bites his lips knowing nothing of what that feels like. Him and his father were best of friends they were practically the same. He thought it was funny however, Albus and Harry looked exactly the same and were the most alike. Why couldn't they get along?
"Albus it won't do any good to just sit here and blubber about it,"Rose says.
"Go talk to your mum and dad,"Nikoli tells him,"I have to talk to Teddy anyways." Nikoli jumps up and heads to Teddy's room leaving Albus and Rose alone.
"Its best to just talk to them,"Rose shrugs before looking at her watch. "It's 10:30, I've got to get going."
Albus waves goodbye to his cousin and then follows her downstairs. Harry and Ginny were saying their goodbyes to Ron, Hermione, Hugo, and Rose. Gathering their things the last of the Weasleys head out of the Potter Manor.
Albus waves goodbye at them and then continues to travel downstairs. Jumping on to the couch Albus rubs his eyes trying to find his courage to talk to his parents. Ginny charms the dishes to wash themselves and sits down on the couch next to Harry.
"Is there something you'd like to talk to us about Albus?" Ginny asks as she pulls her stringy red hair into a pony tail.
"I-um...Mum do...do you approve of me...well-me being-"
"Gay?" Ginny finishes her son's sentence.
"Yes, gay,"Albus nods his head as he feels his hands shake.
"Approve? Albus, how dare you even ask!" Ginny shouts. Harry lays his hand on Ginny signaling to her to calm down and she breathes in deeply.
"It's just that at the dinner table everyone got silent...,"Albus's voice trails off.
"Your Uncle George bet that you wouldn't call him your boyfriend in front of us,"Ginny says with a smile on her face.
"Needless to say your mother gained 50 galleons." Harry smiles and Albus laughs at their answer.

Nikoli looked down at Albus and smiled. He knew his parents wouldn't mind. Albus hugged his mother and father before rushing upstairs to his boyfriend. The next couple of days were filled with adventure and endless fun. Albus never thought he'd be this happy in his life. With Nikoli by his side he could take on the world.
