My eyes fluttered open and I awoke to a sleeping Dylan. I pulled the blanket close to me and when I felt my body, there's was no fabric.

I remember last night as I smiled to myself, looking over at him. As I replayed what happened. My eyes widened in terror.

"Dylan," I muttered while forcefully climbing over him. "Dylan, get the fuck up." I began to yell as I put on my rob.

"What?" He cried, rubbing his eyes and sitting up, moving the covers once he realized he had no clothes on.

I threw him sweatpants and he raised his eyebrows. "What's wrong?" He asked, putting pants on and walking over to me.

"Do you remember last night?" I asked and he nodded, looking down at me concerned. "Do you remember not putting a god damn condom on?" I hissed as his eyes enlarged.

Dylan wrapped me in a quick hug. "Take me to the store, this isn't funny." I sniffed with an eye roll. "I know there's a chance I'm not, you know, but there's always a chance there is an-"

He kissed my lips and then my head. "Kora, I tell you all the time, I'm gonna take care of you. Get dressed, we can go right now." I nodded and changed into random sweatpants and a t-shirt. I grabbed my phone off the charger and rushed down the stairs, dragging Dyl along with me.

He unlocked his car and I got in the passenger side.  As we drove, he held my hands. "What if everything isn't fine." He gave my hand a quick squeeze.

"Don't think like that," He said just above a whisper. "I love you. I'm so sorry."

I smiled at him and then back at the road. "Don't be sorry, I love you too."

We got to Rite-Aid and I put on my sunglasses to try and prevent anybody noticing us. He grabbed my hand as I walked to the back and searched the isles. After searching for about 15 minutes, I finally found it.

I grabbed a flavored water and then went to self check out. Dylan took out his wallet and I attempted to push him away. "Just stop," I smiled. "It's alright."

"Are you crazy?" Dylan asked, joking just a little. "There's no way in hell you're paying for this when it's my fault."

Before I could even form a sentence, I smiled. "Don't check out yet." I quickly hurried to the 4th isle and grabbed a box of trojan. Walking back with a smirk on my face, he raised his eyebrows. "What did you grab?"

I handed him the box with a wink, watching a smug grin grown on his face.

We got in the car and I tore open the box. Dylan opened my water for me so I could instantly chug. I felt the pill go down my throat and I groaned, pulling the bottle from my lips.  "Apparently the side effects of this are the same side effect of pregnancy." I mumbled, reading the instructions.

"So how are you supposed to know?" Dyl's eyebrows raised.

I smirked and put the paper down. "You bleed." I teased, tickling his side.

After that subsided, we sat in a comfortable silence until he spoke up. "How's you're dad?"

"You know," I paused. "My mom hasn't really told me anything. I'll call her when we get home."

We got back to my place about 15 minutes later and we went upstairs. "That pill made me feel so sick." I groaned, sitting on my bed.

He kissed my head and rubbed my stomach. "Want me to make you something?"

"This is gonna sound really weird," I giggled, making him smile. "But I have waffle fries in my freezer, can you please put them in the oven?" He nodded and walked downstairs.

I pulled out my phone and hit my mothers contact. After a few rings she picked up. "I'll be right back in." she whispered and a door shut.  "Hola, honey."

"Hey," I smiled at the sound of my mothers voice. "Where are you?"

There was silence on her end of the phone. "Kora, I need to tell you something about papa."

"Yeah, I called to see if he was better. "

"He has lung cancer."

My mouth opened to speak but words couldn't process. "This is a fucking joke, stop messi-"

"Oye, mama, no. Nothing to joke about.  I'm at the hospital," She said solemnly.  "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. It's hard."

I bit my lip as tears flooded my eyes. "Entiendo. I understand. I need time to process. I'll come down and visit soon. Tell dad I love him."

"Te amo, Kora."

"Te amo, mama." I hung up the phone and slid off the edge of my bed and crouched on the floor. I hung my head down and took deep breaths. The door opened.

"I put them in," Dylan started but was cut short. "Baby, whats wrong." He rushed, hurrying to sit in front of me.

I sniffed a few times before speaking. "My dad," I broke down crying before I could finish and he engulfed me in his arms. "He has lung cancer."

He kissed my head multiple times before cupping my face and making me look up. "It'll be okay, princess."

I cried harder and I hit his shoulder. "You keep saying that and things are getting worse." All he did was hold me tighter.

"Take breaths, kor. It's hard right now. I'm sorry." My breathing slowed down as he rubbed my back. I sniffed and looked up at him with my watery eyes. He began to chuckled a little, making me smile and cover my face.

"I'm an ugly crier, I know."

He smiled and moved my hands. "You're beautiful when you cry." I kissed him softly. "Do you want me to stay over?" He asked, noticing it got kind of late.

I nodded while wrapping my arms around his neck. "I'm embarrassed," I groaned into his shirt. "You've never seen me cry before."

He pulled me into his lap and shrugged. "I'm glad I got to be here with you." I took a big sniff in and started to smell burning.

"Are the fries still in the over?" I asked and he pulled away.

He rushed to get up and we ran down stairs. "Fuck my life!" He yelled, jokingly. I laughed as he pulled out black, burnt fries.

"Aw," I whined, pinching his cheeks. "If you drive, I'll pay for mcdonalds." I offered.

"Or," he objected while throwing out the burnt mess. "I drive and pay."

I grabbed my wallet and shook my head. "Dylan, stop. You spent close to 80 dollars today for, you know, the stuff." I condemned as we walked out the door.

"Your point?" Dylan opened the car door for me and I thanked him, hopping in. He fastened his seatbelt.

I rested my head in hand and observing everything about him. "What?" He laughed, using his blinker.

"Have I ever told you how annoyingly hot you are?" I asked as we grew closer to McDonalds.

"You're annoyed that your boyfriend is hot?"

"Yeah, I look bad next to you."

He raised his eyebrows and unlocked the car doors. "You can get out," he said. "liars aren't welcome."

I relocked the door while laughing. "I'm not lying though."

"Kora, yes you are. You're a fucking beautiful, goddess, thing." He rambled out, making me smile and hit on his shoulder.
