The four of us had just arrived on the beach. I fixed my bikini top while Dylan looked at me, smiling. "What are you looking at?" I giggled, putting my hair up. He shrugged and laid out a towel for me.

"You're just pretty." I blushed, watching him put his sunglasses on.

"I haven't laid on the beach in forever," I sighed with a smile. He raised his eyebrows, laying out two towels. "That's not even true." "Yeah, it's been like a month."

I rested my hands on my waist, looking around. Dylan was still glancing over at me with a smile. "What!" I laughed, crossing my arms. "Its not like there's anything there." It was weird how he was so excited and I felt no different.

"I know, but it's just the point, I guess." I shrugged, sitting down and laying out.

Pregnancy doesn't seem exciting at all. My body changing doesn't seem exciting. I'm not excited to buy new clothes, I'm not excited to outgrow my current size, I'm not excited to put my life on hold. I'm really not that excited to be a mom in general.

My stomach hurt a little and I couldn't tell if it was because I was pregnant or just because it hurt.

"So what are you're future plans now?" his mom asked, her sunglasses on. "starting a family is a big deal."

I pursed my lips and before I could answer, Dylan chimed in. "Well, we're looking at houses."

"Oh, that's great!"

I faked a laugh, nodding along with them. How can they be so okay with everything. It's like they're forgetting a whole other person (me) is involved in this: a person who doesn't want this at the moment.
