Dean's mom was definitely modest about describing what Hogwarts looked like, or how big it was.
Because that was a freaking doll house compared to this.
He rubbed his eyes and blinked, maybe he was tired from the train ride, it was getting pretty late too. He turned to briefly glance at Sam and Cas to verify if what he was seeing was real or not. They both looked completely awestruck, Cas' mouth was even hanging open a few centimetres.
He turned forwards again to stare at the castle.
Look again, his brain said to his eyes.
We're looking, his eyes insisted, Its really there.
Their boat bumped the dock, and ropes he hadn't noticed before fastened the boat to it, providing an easy passage to shore. Sam was staring open mouthed at the castle in complete awe and Dean chuckled.
"If you faint, I promise to catch you," Dean said sarcastically.
"Shut up."
"Sam, Dean," Cas interrupted their conversation "we are going in" He pointed to the clump of students heading towards the castle.
Dean stumbled on the way to the Dining Hall and cursed "I'm gonna freaking murder the guy who decided that wearing robes was a good idea!"
Sam smirked, "When you find a way to travel that far back in time, take me with you".
Dean grunted "Yeah, and leave you there!"
Sam chuckled and Dean was just about to insult him when he stopped, along with Cas. They were in the Dining Hall. Students pushed past them as they stared, they were in awe of how big it was, Sam was unaffected.
Probably already read about it, that son of a-
Cas was stunned "My brother, Gabriel, told me how it looked but..."
"The ceiling, the freaking ceiling, you see it too right?" Dean sputtered.
A haughty voice behind them said, "It's enchanted to look like the night sky," A girl with bushy brown hair pushed in between Dean and Cas "now would you please move? We're going to be sorted soon!" She pushed past them.
"Who put the bee in her bonnet?" Sam scoffed. Dean eyed him.
"Seriously? That's what you decide to make a wisecrack with?" Dean stared "Dude, I'm embarrassed for you".
"I don't understand," Cas whispered to them as they approached the front of the hall, where a stern looking woman was placing a stool "who would put a bee in anyone's bonnet?"
Sam sighed and Dean told him, "Its a figure of speech Cas, you say it when someone's being rude"
He looked unsure.
"Alright, she's calling names in alphabetical order, so pay attention" Sam rasped.
They watched as an Abbot, Hannah was put into Hufflepuff, and a snarky looking boy named Sherlock Holmes was put into Ravenclaw.
"Novak, Castiel" the woman cried.
OOO
Dean patted him on the back as he made toward the stool with the raggedy hat on it, he had to stop himself from quaking. What if he got in Slytherin, where most of his siblings were? He didn't know if he would get to talk with the Winchesters again.
He sat down on the stool and the teacher put the old hat on his head, covering his face.
A Novak eh? a raspy voice said.
"Not Slytherin," Castiel whispered "not Slytherin".
Not Slytherin? the hat questioned I guess it'll have to be...
"GRYFFINDOR!"
No one in the Novak family had ever been a Gryffindor. Ever. But as he made his way to the table, he thought, maybe it was his chance to break that pattern. He could feel his brothers stare at him from across the room as he sat down, and he smirked.
Then the professor with the hat called out a name everyone recognized.
"Potter, Harry!"
Immediately the room erupted in whispers, asking: "Is it really him?" and "That's Harry Potter?"
Castiel stared at him, When a brief flash of pain erupted in his head. He saw something, a cemetery, a headstone, the grim reaper, and then it was gone.
He didn't know what was happening to him, and he really wished it would stop. But whenever Harry Potter was around it would-
Whenever Harry Potter was around.
Please, Castiel begged Don't have him put in Gryffindor.
But then, knowing Castiel's luck, he was put Gryffindor.
Castiel didn't clap with everyone else, and he certainly didn't look at him, he kept his gaze on the Winchesters. Dean was giving him a thumbs up, so he smiled back.
Pond, Amelia, Smith, Matt, and Song, River were sorted into Gryffindor and Slytherin. The redhead and Matt seemed to already know each other and sat together.
Then finally, after a boy named Rory Williams (sorted into Hufflepuff) were the Winchesters.
Dean went first, and after what seemed like hours, the hat yelled, "GRYFFINDOR!"
Castiel breathed a sigh of relief, and tried to clap the loudest. At least one of them Castiel thought, smiling.
"Hello Dean!"
"Hey Cas!" Dean grinned back "So, what house is it gonna be for Sasquatch, huh?"
Castiel frowned, "Who is-?"
"RAVENCLAW!"
Dean gave a short burst of laughter and clapped "I knew it!"
Soon the sorting was over, and the headmaster, Dumbledore, stood up and gave a rather small speech that consisted of the words: "Nitwit, Blubber, Oddment, and Tweak"
The long tables became laden with food, and Dean dived in, immediately filling his mouth with food.
Dinner was soon over, and Castiel could barely keep his eyes open. He was almost leaning on Dean, who was laughing at his expense. He fell asleep the moment his head hit the dark red Gryffindor pillow.
AUTHORS NOTE; PLEASE READ
Okay, I'm worried that this is becoming a Superwho instead of a Superwholock. So this is what I'm going to do, I'm going to focus a lot on the Supernatural fandom in the first year, and in the second year, Its gonna be Doctor Who. Then the third year, Who knows? But don't worry, Its not just gonna be Supernatural. You'll get to see Doctor Who, and Sherlock P.O.V.'s too, so if I end up writing three chapters, and its only Sam, Dean, and Castiel... Just know that there is nothing to worry about, and there will be a chapter with different characters in it soon.
P.S. Internet cookies for anyone who caught the Percy Jackson reference!
