Episode 7: Awakening

Chase sat in the corner of the room with blood streaming from his skin, laughing, "It's too late, you can't save an ant, much less your girlfriend," he spat blood in Sebastian's direction, "You're so pathetic, its funny."

Sebastian's right eye transitioned from blue to red, causing the shadows around him to manifest and tear the chains off his hands and feet. He got up and limped over to where Chase was, showing no emotion.

"Oh, no, what you  gonna do? Kill me?" Chase laughed.

Sebastian advanced with no answer.

"You know if you kill me ... you die as well," when Chase said those words Sebastian stopped and cocked his head, "Yeah, you heard me... you see, if I die, everything holding up this buildong will fall to pieces, crushing both you and your girlfriend underneath the rubble," Chase smirked.

Sebastian resisted the urge to kill him and turned towards Corneillia, but when he returned his gaze to where Chase was, he was gone, leaving only the blood on the wall as remains.

Sebastian returned his gaze to Corneillia and knelt directly beside her. He placed her head in his lap while gently stroking her pink hair. Eventually, he realized that she was still breathing, but it was faint, so little that it seems as if she could lose her life at any second.

Acting on instinct, Sebastian used his teeth to slit his wrist and held it over her mouth, making his blood drip into her body as fast as possible.

"Come on Corneillia, please wake up," he said desperately.

After a while, Corneillia's breathing pattern returned to normal, making Sebastian give a faint smile, "Thank God, you're okay."

Although her breathing pattern returned to normal, she was still unconscious. While smiling, Sebastian picked up Corneillia's body and held he firmly in his arms as a husband would hold his wife. 

"Let's get out of here," Sebastian said while slowly making his way out.

Ryuga and the rest of The Fallen Moon were making their way through the basic market of the city. As they walked, the vendors on the sides shivered in fear while quickly closing down their stalls.

"Hmph," Marco said while smirking, " We strike fear into the people no matter where we go," he turned towards the closed stalls and yelled, "YES! Fear the most powerful vampires to ever exist! Shiver in fear like your lives depend on it."

"Shut up Marco!" Ryuga yelled, "They're not scared because we're vampires, they're only scared cause we look like a group of bandits."

When Ryuga lift his head to view ahead of them, he stopped dead in his tracks. There was a a female figure, not too far in the distance. The wind made her appearance even more dramatic as the dust blew past her.

She wore a dark blue uniform with a 'VCC' crest on her left shoulder. There was a weapon behind her, tied in a black cloth, concealing it from her enemies. On the chest of her uniform, the name 'Lexus' was sewn onto it. She has black hair and dark red eyes, yet they were not as red as vampire eyes. Her hair hung low over her right eye, hiding a portion of her smirk as she licked her cherry red lips.

She held tightly onto her concealed weapon and softly spoke, "How about we play a game?"

Sebastian arrived home with Corneillia in his arms. As he kicked open the door, he rushed up to his room, although he hesitated for a while, wondering if she should go to his room or hers.

He dropped her on his bed and gently put the covers up to her chest. Before he left the room, he took one last look at he sleeping body while trying to fight back the tears being made behind his eyelids, "I love you... Corneillia."

He closed the door behind him and made his way to the shower. He took a bath, dressed himself and went downstairs. As soon as he touched the first floor a 'ding dong' sound was made by the doorbell. He walked over to the door and peeked through, revealing the person on the other side.

Reinhard stood there with a grim look on his face as he slowly whispered the words, "Sebastian, we need to talk."

Ryuga looked calmly at the person named Lexus, "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't have much time to play your games. I need to get going as soon as possible."

Lexus laughed at his remark, "You might not want to play with me, but you're gonna have to if you want to pass."

Ryuga growled, "Lyn, Stell, the two of you can handle this right?"

They both nod and disappeared from their previous posts.

Lexus smirked the entire time while licking her lips.

Lyn and Stell appeared near her, while several copies of themselves appeared and began surrounding her. Each of them were ready to attack, but then Lexus swung the weapon, sending them back in a huge gush of wind.

Due to the massive force from the swing, the wrappings on the weapon fell off causing the copies to vanish as Stell and Lyn fell to the ground frightened.

The weapon she held was a massive eight bladed ax that had a red liquid running up to each blade as well as the back of the weapon, but luckily, it was behind a special type of glass.

Seeing that everyone around her was in shock, she smiled and once again licked her lips saying, "Let's have some fun now, shall we?"
