Chapter Four
Joanne Belle Kameron
I really love my room. The walls were painted sky blue and decorated with white clouds. My bed was covered in a striped blue, white, yellow and blue bedspread with fake pearls separating the colors. A giant teddy and panda had been placed neatly on the sides. On the sides of the bed were two white bedside tables with lamps on it.
My study table is on the other side of the room and it's wooden. There is another shelf connected to the table. On it, there is a clock, a family photo and a photo of me and my best friend, Sienna. All my favorite books are piled on top, along with a small plant, some stationary and a small water bottle which I fill up weekly to feed my plant.
I grabbed my towel and change of clothes (a t-shirt with a swirly design on it and some soft green shorts) and walked carelessly to the bathroom. After a shower, I came back to my room refreshed. I looked at the contract again and remembered the Post-It note. I dug it out from my bag and it read :
For any additional information, contact Blake Klaires at (224) - 206 - 9094.
I grabbed my phone and dialed the number.
"Good morning. This is Kaysey Lucas from Modest Management. May I help you?" a crisp voice answered me at the first ring.
"I'm Joanne Kameron. May I look for Blake Klaires?" I asked.
"Hold on."
"Hey, Joanne. What can I do for you?" Blake asked.
"About that contract. Is there any extra information I should know about?" I asked.
"Well, we could sue you if you back out of the contract after you sign and I will text you about another date and you'll get dolled up."
"Okay. I agree." We both hung up.
